SPECULATION Ezra as Villain of Episode VIII?

disclosure: i didn't watch the video because i don't want to be subconsciously influenced by the particulars of the theory right now, but i have seen snippets of it elsewhere, so i know the general idea.

my gut reaction is that i have real mixed feelings about all of this:

1. i love Del Toro, but i kinda don't want an actor of his stature in a Star Wars movie. it makes me nervous (like with the PT).
2. i irrationally fear the continuity connection between Rebels and the ST. i know it's already there, but the brat in me resents the feeling of being forced to invest in that universe.
   
3. and as a direct result of no. 2, i fear missing important subtext for not being on board, which is uncool. they could self-contain the storyline, but i'd always know there was more out there and i feel like any ensuing discussion would be endlessly divided between those who Rebel and those who don't.

on the bright side:

1. Erza or no, if Del Toro comes on as a true villain, maybe we can get Kylo Ren into the Light all the quicker. i'd really be okay with that because i can't stand his or Leia's suffering.

Yea I should have put it in episode 8 forum, but since it mostly had to do with Rebels I put it there. Prolly would have been seen by more and more active if I put it with ST stuff lol.

 

I've never been a fan of a The Rebels animation since it reminds me Jimmy Beutron A lot but slightly more updated .

 

i'm really struggling with this (woe). i want more Star Wars, but i just don't like the backward glancing. i never needed to see Anakin fall and i feel like anything "prequelly" tends to mess with the world as we know it from ANH. if the aesthetics don't match, my brain just rejects it outright ~ hahaha.

Keep Space Aladdin in the cartoons on the Disney channel where he belongs. Hopefully he'll get killed before the end of the show, anyway.

 

I saw a commercial on Disney the other day about lame kid girl rapping about marcel and SW and that's when unofficially wanted the world to end .

 

I hope not he has had one experience already in season 1 I don't think they he will become a villain, seeing those yellow eyes worry me sometimes, oh that' right seeing Anakin's after watching TROTS, memories you can't for get them.

 

I think a big reason why Ezra wont be a villian is the audience of the show. Rebels is a kids-show. I still think it is a cool starwars-show. But it is a kids-starwars-show. I pesonally cant se the show ending in such a dark way as in Ezra becomes evil. Just because all kids will be dissapointed. They want a happy ending.

 

Plus hats also why there's A a story Group .

 

I think Rebels is a very mediocre series and characters in the movies coming from the show is unlikely, but the ages don't make sense in any event.

 

What ages don't make sense. Ezra is 14 at the beginning of Rebels and would be 53 during TFA. BDT is 49....so 4 year difference isn't that much.

 

Perhaps the ages do match up. Can't see it happening though.
