That training scene between Luke and Rey is pretty sweet and that second scene sounds so cool! The other figure fighting alongside Kylo Ren has to be someone like Snoke or Benicio Del Toro's character if he is facing off against Luke, but I doubt they would have Snoke fighting in the second film of the trilogy.

 

i believe this is the temple in question!! they are supposed to be shooting in mexico and this is a very famous mexican temple. i'm so excited for this.

 

I wonder if the fame surrounding this will hurt its "Galaxy Far, Far Away" bit .

 

that's a good point.. i'm sure they won't use the ENTIRE thing and will probably CGI stuff in that makes it less.. earth-like? we'll see..

 

It's like that's what happened for the end of TFA...it CLEARLY looked like Earth, which is what I liked a lot about The PT in that it was able to have a lot of areas look Not-Earthly .

 

I prefer the OT aesthetics myself. Anyway, it's hard to tell how accurate these reports are:

BUT, speculating for a moment, I could see there being a cat and mouse game between the FO and The Resistance for most of the movie. Then The Resistance is finally cornered in the climax and about to be overwhelmed when Luke and Rey show up to help. And they buy enough time for everyone to beat a tactical retreat (since they're still badly outnumbered and outgunned) to plan their next move.

 

i like the scene with Luke and Rey sparring, but i'm not sure how much i like the idea of Luke and Rey going into battle together. i don't know if it's because i have Luke figured to be more of a Yoda type (circa OT) or what, but i never imagined seeing Luke in a war setting during the ST. however, an epic duel i have definitely foreseen!

 

The whole post was great, gave me a nice big smile while reading it aha. But I really liked this point since Kylo was my 2nd favourite new character, let's see him be even more awesome!

I doubt Mark Hamill could do Scene 2 in his current physical shape, unless there is heavy CGI involved.

 

Maybe, but if you think about it too much, everything will hurt its "Galaxy Far, Far Away" bit... It's not like they are going off-world to find shooting locations. It's all in the story for me. As long as the setting isn't "Mexico", I'll get past the fact that it looks like something on earth; just as I got past the fact that parts of Tatooine looked an awful lot like Death Valley National Park.

 

...and here I thought they would go to Pluto or Europa to film one of the movies .

The journey to TFA was quite the roller coaster ride.

But for this roller coaster, I think I'm gonna call it "The Journey to Episode 8".

I'd pay good hard earned money to see Luke in a dress.

If that is the 3rd act what is the down moment? that all feels like uptick winning. Also I wonder if that is poe being protected by chewie or if that's Finn in a second coma maybe even bleeding out

 

I'd prefer him in a metal bikini .
