    Kylo vs Rey had me on the edge of my seat in the cinema, to the point where I was almost shouting "No, no, no!" when Rey had the upper hand as I didn't want Kylo to be another Darth Maul. It was perfectly shot, balanced and I had no idea what was to be the outcome.

    It's now up there along side the Luke v Vader (ROTJ) duel. Atmosphere and tension = perfect lightsaber battle.

    i was surprised she beat him, but somehow i knew they wouldn't make that Maul mistake again. not to mention, he's still Han Solo's son, so it felt like there was no way they were going to kill him so easily.

    even sensing that, it was spectacularly exciting just to see it play out. that, to me, is what makes a great fight sequence.

    The movie went out of it's way to give him multiple "outs," both physical and mental/psychological, to explain that loss. And I'm pretty sure that, when they face off again (likely in Episode VIII), the outcome will be quite different.

    I loved how raw and gritty that duel was, and it made sense given who was fighting. Also the use of lighting plus the dark, snow-filled forest, gave it a great sense of atmosphere/moodiness that I haven't seen since the throne room in ROTJ.

    Agreed I liked the forest landscape since it's a first for star wars since most of the duels took place on 2 death stars, a droid factory/battle arena , city in the clouds & a hangar bay, good to get outside for once.

    I chose that also just because he had no idea what he was doing wielding a lightsaber and he still fought to the death ( his back slashing injury ) using his fear and hatred for kylo and the first order !

    However Rey and kylo is Immense for its landscape it was a very dark and gritty duel !

    I thought Finn vs Kylo in TFA was the only decent fight from the trilogy
