My favorite so far was 'Tarkin'.
    'Aftermath' a close second.
I'm holding my vote based on: I think after I read 'Bloodlines' it will be my favorite.

Darn, to say the truth, I haven't read not one single book ever since they trashed the EU. Are these new canon novels any good? Which ones are the most you can recommend?

I found Bloodlines very satisfying. Loved Lost Stars, and some of those YA ones that came out as well. I am liking the direction of the new universe. I liked some of the EU, but a lot of it always seemed to be Leia or kids getting kidnapped or the threat of kidnapping. It feels nice they had a period of peace time in the new universe.

I've read Aftermath, Dark Disciple, The Force Awakens, Lords of the Sith, and in the middle of Tarkin right now.

Lords of the Sith is my personal favorite. It's just marvelous, the dynamic built between Vader and Sheev is so intriguing.
I'm very much enjoying Tarkin as well

I've read most of them at this point, the only exceptions are Battlefront(waiting for the paperback) and Heir to the Jedi(everything I've read about it turns me away from it). I've enjoyed all of them to various degrees with the exception of Aftermath. Even though I found Aftermath to be an absolute chore to get through, there were some decent parts and interesting bits of info, I would recommend getting the cliff notes instead though ;). My favorites have definitely been Lost Stars and Bloodline though. I think Claudia Gray is shaping up to be the Timothy Zahn of the new canon novels. Not saying she writes like Zahn, but like Zahn, she really seems to "get" Star Wars. If only we could get Zahn to pen a few as well.

Lords of the Sith was a pretty exciting read, its not perfect though. If you happen to be a fan of The Clone Wars then I definitely recommend Dark Disciple as it continues Ventress' and Quinlan Voss' stories. Tarkin is great if you are looking for an introspective character piece, it really gets to the heart of who Tarkin is. As a bonus Tarkin is written by James Luceno, another one of my favorite EU writers, it even recanonizes certain details from his Darth Plagueis novel. A New Dawn is pretty slow honestly, but I still enjoyed the insight that it gave into Kanan and Hera's characters and relationship.

Based upon your interest in the alien characters of the Star Wars universe though, you may enjoy the collected stories in this book. It reminds me of some of my favorite EU books back in the day, namely the Tales series of books that focused on the Mos Eisley Cantina, Jabba's Palace and the Bounty Hunters. Same concept except it focuses on the alien characters seen in TFA, also, each story is written by the same writer instead of a collection of writers. The only story that gave me pause was "All Creatures Great and Small", but once you realize the story being told inside the story isn't supposed to be taken seriously it isn't so bad.

So funny that you say Aftermath was like a chore you had to get done. I felt the exact same way, it was like none of the new characters drew me in. I thought it was just everywhere, but definitely some cool side parts. Very interesting tidbit with the Acolytes of the Beyond searching for Vader's blade, finding a red one, but not positive it's Vader's.

Agreed, there was definitely some interesting stuff in there, but the story was dragged down by how uninteresting most of the main characters were and by how ho-hum the main conflict seemed. I'm all for new characters, just make them interesting. Claudia Gray's books have focused mainly on new characters with the obvious exception of Leia, but I actually like those characters and want to know more about them.

Most of the books in the poll haven't even been released yet.
