I went with the Interceptor. They are just nasty looking. They make standard TIEs look like day one stuff.

I don't know if this counts, but I always like the Snowspeeder.

    Not in TFA, though. :-(

Very nice graphic (wow, the inner proportions of the Imperial insignia are accurate - I enclose the one a friend of mine made for his TIE pilot helmet).

IIRC, the function of the wing guns were never really explained. Can't help but think of ion guns that will disable the enemy ship's deflector shields to next have a lethal shot of the cockpit sphere twin guns.

I don't have a clue regarding any of these ships, but I love that you guys do.

^^ You mean like you couldn't really say which is your favorite?

I'd have to agree. "Which is your least favorite" would have been something much easier to cast a vote, IMHO.

I'm more clueless than that, even. I know what an x-wing and TIE fighter are, but beyond that, not much. My youngest son, on the other hand, could probably cite chapter and verse on every one of these spacecraft.

I just like seeing the interest in all of these different aspects of Star Wars, even if I don't know anything about the topic at hand. It makes the in-world setting feel complete and it's fun for you fans who do know a lot about it. Like the thread about the flags outside of Maz's Castle. It was amazing and very cool to me how much people love that thread, even though it's not my thing. Also, it means they're paying a lot of attention to detail, which is awesome. That gives me hope the movie is going to be terrific. :)

Anyway, I don't mean to hijack the thread, these are just my observations. It's fun being a part of this forum.

only jus t found this topic & wow is it a good one it like going back to be child hood on this topic for me it has to be the tie advanced X1 it just looks mean & by god did it crave up those rebel fighter (though the pilot may have helped) & now Vader Down has just come out it puts that tie where it belongs at the absolute pinnacle of imperial fighters

But then there is this thing called nostalgia you can not put a finger on it but it`s there in the background & in that regard it has to be the B wing yes it looks cool & made a impact loved the revolving cockpit but for me it was the last of the original ships I brought (I can still remember going to the shop & buying it & still have it) plus for some reason it was bigger than the Falcon so it really made a impression on me when playing with it

I would have to go with the TIE interceptor, followed closely by the X-wing

The TIE Fighter, for sure. The howl of those twin ion engines is music to my ears.

TIE Interceptor for me. Fav rebel ship is a toss up between the X Wing and the B Wing.

The best choice to go fast and look good has to be Interceptor/A-Wing... but I Iove the all-rounder:

    X-Wing.jpg

I can't go past the adjustable shielding+laser+torpedo+hyper-drive option.

From the first time I saw it on TV I knew it was going to be my favorite, it just has it all. TIE Advanced x1 all the way. 20160116_105050.jpg

I'm going to show TIE-bombers some love and pass them a vote. There's just something about their fat, bulky shape that I find interesting - not to mention just how many space battles in SW: Battlefront II I played inside a TIE-bomber! Funny thing is... first time I saw them, I seriously mistook them for just a copy of Vader's tie; it took me a couple of years to notice the actual difference.
