"Across the Stars" is my favorite. "Duel of the Fates" is a close second.

Gosh. I love "Duel of the Fates", but I think "Across The Stars" is quite emotional, though the feeling was not reflected into the screen. Anyway, it is such a powerful theme.

One thing I will say is that the PT's music is the best of the saga.

Duel of the Fates. One of the best all-time Star Wars pieces period, not just prequels.
Also, the piece that plays during the Obi-Wan/Anakin duel during ROTS. Love that--it somehow captures both the pain of the epicness of the duel.

Tough question to answer. It's like asking to choose between 3 masterpieces.
The soundtracks for all prequel films were phenomenal. Even fans who don't like the prequels love the soundtracks, which is not surprising because John Williams is a genius.

But I would have to choose Episode 1 personally. The DUEL OF FATES is obviously amazing, but I love so many other pieces in Ep 1. "The Swim to Otah Gunga" is a great piece. It blends perfectly with the scene as we see Otah Gunga shining as Jar Jar swims towards it.
Also the song during the Celebration on Naboo at the end is great. "Augies Great Municipal Band and end credits" is its official name.

John Williams made fantastic music for the OT and it wouldn't have been the same without him. But honestly there's some parts in the PT where John Williams music has practically saved some scenes. Such as Anakin and Padme's romance. "Across the Stars" really sells it

The Prequels have the best music in terms of progressions and harmonies!

Speaking of Duel of the Fates, has this gem been posted yet?! My favorite lyrics are probably "soda-catalogue," "best of all...Williams!" and "not your...principal!"

    Glad I'm not alone!

My favorite is 1. Battle of the Heros. 2. Duel of the Fates 3. Across the Stars. I would love to hear a short music snip-its in Star Wars Episode IX of either Battle of Heros or Duel of Fates. I heard some music OT and PT snip-its in The Last Jedi. I really want Episode IX to tie all the sagas, the music score would be a nice way to do it.

Not only do I love the TPM soundtrack as an overall whole, Duel of the Fates single-handedly beats Episodes II and III for me.
