    It's interesting you make that point. I had the pleasure of seeing/hearing John Williams conduct a concert a few years ago. He does (did?) it every year. Steven Spielberg was the guest and came out to talk about music in movies. One segment was about what a movie would be like without the music. They played a scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade without the music. It was weird and eerie. You could hear things like people breathing and other small things that aren't usually heard. Then they played the scene again with the live orchestra and, of course, it was awesome.
