Favorite Scene in The Force Awakens

All Han and Chewie banter were handled really well but I'd have to say the "you're cold?" scene. Straight out of the OT.

 

Ive got a few:

• the San Tekka and Kylo scene.... its such a great set up, the mystery of it all, who's San Tekka, who are Kylo's famliy..... great scene sets up the film brilliantly
• the Kylo / Poe scene who talk first scene, just great dialogue
• The force flashback scene, shows so much and yet so little its great.
• The BB8/Finn/Rey scene...... "I don't speak that"..... scene

but my favorite is.... "we'lll use the force" "thats not how the force works" scene

 

Have ever met any military pilots? They mostly all talk like that lol... ****(pit) jock is a thing actually.

YES, this!!! Kylo was the lightning rod to this film IMO!

 

When Rey fights Ren after Finn gets knocked out. Go girl!

 

When Rey snatches the lightsaber from Kylo in the snow fighting scene. I was like, Damn! What!?

May the force be with you always...

 

I love the scenes when Starkiller is falling apart. complete with a great score.

 

Another one for me is when Rey and Finn are trying to fix the gas leak .

 

The complete opening scene with Rey.
Star destroyer, Unkar Plutt, the Bread, BB8, the aliens like the old one with the cage on his back, how cute she is eating the bread with the pilothelm and all the little details.
And the music is so perfect! (Scavenger and reys theme) it represents the loneliness so good.
I just like this nonverbal storytelling, not so much action bantha poodoo laserpewpew all the time.
For me it was one of the best scenes in Star Wars.

 

Oh man, so many great scenes in this movie. But if I had to choose one, it would be the duel between Rey and Ren. It was beautifully shot and the actors really brought their A game.

I also got choked up when Finn ran like a crazy person and screamed "Rey!" when he saw her being taken by Kylo Ren and when Han yelled "Ben!"

 

Right after ((the picture - below)) - - Leia said: "Hey, Rey - - May the FORCE be with you!!"

i was FLOORED!! i said: "What did Leia just say!?!? "MAY THE force BE WITH YOU"??? She ((Leia))'s a JEDI!!" Then, i said: "She CHOSE family, and, yet - - she's a Jedi... like her Brother ((Luke)) & Father ((Anakin/Darth Vader)) before her."

FYI, everybody - - Leia did not ((never, ever, ever)) say that ((MTFBWY)) in the first 3 movies ((ANH, ESB or ROTJ)) - - i'm still in shock, that they ((the writers)) would write that in for Leia to say, now.

I think your reading a bit to much into that line. Just because she said it, does not equate her being a Jedi. Han says it to Luke before the assault on the Death Star & The rebel officer going over the Death Star plans and strategy with the pilots, says it as they adjourn the meeting and get ready to head into battle.

 

At most it ties in to LST'S character and The Church of the Force .

And Ackbar says "May the Force be with us" in ROTJ and Ackbar is not a Jedi

 

Except it set a stranger for his own death .

 

My favorite scene, though it brings a tear to my eye, is Han and Kylo on the bridge. I found it was great storytelling, showing just how far Kylo is actually willing to go, in order to receive power, push himself deeper into the Dark side even further and to become like Darth Vader even at the cost at the life of his father. At that moment he chose the Dark over the Light, but throughout the movie we saw his struggle, and killing Han didn't give him strengh, it weakened him. I also love this as it is reminiscent to Ben Kenobi's sacrifice in ANH.

My second favorite would have to be the Kylo/Rey Interrogation, which shows Kylo in fear, instead of using fear to feed the Dark side, fear was used against him to weaken him. It also shows just how powerful Rey will become, having just learnt the Force, she manages to push back Kylo's mental probing, even though he is strong in the Force, and delve into his mind to find what he fears the most... not becoming as powerful as Darth Vader.

 

He still had believe in the force even 30 years on.

Rey: "so you're with the resistance"
Finn: "obviously. Yes. Yes I am. (Slow) I'm with the resistance. Yeah."
Rey: (impressed) I've never met a resistance fighter before."
Finn: "well, this is what we look like. Others look different."

I swear if you take out "resistance" and replace it with a rock band or sports team you would think Finn and Rey were at the club or a house party flirting. Even Daisy and John look at each other different here than any other scene.

Rey:"so you're with Menudo ?"
Finn:"obviously. Yes. Yes I am. (Slow) I am with Menudo."
Rey: (impressed) "I've never met a Menudo member before."
Finn: "well this is what we look like. Others look different."
