I am a glazier by trade (glass work), and have wanted to make glass fronted cases with mirrored tops, bottoms, and three mirrored sides (at a rough 45 degree to each side).

I made a prototype, and it let you see the entire figure at various angles, without taking the figure out. These would have a wood top and bottom.

For a case like such described... is there a demand?

I imagine it as a trophy case, for top-prized figs.

What would one pay for such a case?

You should take some pictures of your prototype and post them. You might get more inquiries.

It might be better to post here:

You might also want to ask this artist's opinion. He's friendly and his entire career is devoted to custom figures and displaying them at conventions and such. He might be able to put you in touch with other similar people who might have a need or be interested. Good luck to you!

That's a question how much. Try to calculate how much it costs your time and material, add-in some value on top, because you had to think it up.
With that wooden top and bottom, I think around 100 dollars? But I don't know how much the work is costing you.

I don't have any experience, but you can try to make one and put for bidding on e-bay. But e-bay is still based on user's searches so unless they look it up specifically, you won't know. Try to ask in huge toy, model and memorabilia collecting social groups and forums over the internet ;)
I know that there is Star Wars one as well as for other franchises, like Gundam.
