    Just for context, the reason @StoneRiver and I are moderately excited by this is because the power station is only about 6 miles (10km) from where we both grew up and went to school.

    Only decomissioned in 2013, Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation filmed there too in 2014 for the scene where Cruise breaks into the industrial complex where his character does the 6+ minute dive sequence.

    The Control Room also featured as the World Control Centre in 1976's Rollerball.

    The site has also been used more recently in a British TV show called Spies and the most recent series of Red Dwarf (for anyone outside of the UK who's heard of it).
