Curious as to what everyone thinks as we head into the final hours before the movie is released, in addition to the poll, I'd also like to hear everyone's final thoughts on how the movie will play out. Do you believe we'll get more questions than answers in TFA?

I am in the camp that the MSW synopsis is at least half-true the rest not so much.

I have no doubt that the shooting schedule that leaked is legit.
I have no doubt that it more or less represents what was filmed.

MSW's synopsis - let's not forget - was someone else's attempt to piece together MSW's individual report into a movie narrative, in their own words, which MSW subsequently shared.
I don't doubt the reports were based on the schedule, and I don't doubt the author's words were based on the reports, but we are already passing through several degrees of filtering there.

So, yeah, I think there will be discrepancies and misunderstandings.
And then there is scope for things to have evolved since the principal photography in the way most movies do anyway.

I think the main misunderstanding may have been presuming the code word "candy" in the schedule represented the same thing as "sword".
I think Maz has Luke's lightsaber and Tekka has *something else* for Poe at the start of the movie.
I think the rest is more or less what the schedule says it is. Depends how you read the schedule - but I'd take that as the benchmark, rather than MSW's interpretation of it.

FWIW, I bet people still disagree about this after we have all seen the movie... :)

I still think theres a few final scenes after the end of their shot list that hasn't leaked. Rey hands Luke his lightsaber...then more stuff happens! It just doesn't seem like the logical conclusion to the film.
I think they'll regroup with Luke and go after the bad guys while they're weak

I don't care. I'm not watching the movie for a MSW. They can be all right, or all wrong. I'm not gonna be thinking about nothing but what I'm watching in the moment and afterwards write about, talk about what I saw on this board to family, friends, and strangers then see it again several times.

But I did vote. It is a secret 'til after I see the movie.

I am ok with this thread as long as it doesn't turn into MSW or Jason Ward bashing thread. With that being said. As time went on things changed as far as the script and other stuff. I'll say other sites have had just as much if not more correct info. I think in the end it was a collective of information and to crown anyone would be wrong. So, I will say around 50-50 .........peace out

They decided to leave Mark Hamill out of all the posters and marketing for a reason. I don't believe the reason is because he has only a 5 second cameo at the end.
I believe the reason is to create hype so that when we do finally see Luke the audience goes bananas.
Rey goes to Skellig Michael, Knights of Ren follow her there, Rey vs Knights of Ren, enter Luke, bye bye Knights of Ren, Rey and Luke meet, the end.
THAT is the secret ending :D

I mean, why cast new villains for the movie right such as Benicio Del Toro?

I think they are actually 100% correct but they probably only knew/know about 70-80% of the film. I think there's still something they didn't know.

Maybe it's my denial, but I honestly do believe JJ and everyone else who said there was a good reason why Luke hasn't been featured yet.

Disney contact websites and request they remove content, right?
If MSW plot synopsis is completely accurate and reveals the entire plot of the movie, why has it been online for anyone and everyone to read for months?

That, or Disney doesn't care, which I'm assuming is definitely not the case. If Disney rages about the Rey figure then imagine if the plot of the movie was leaked out how'd they react.

The moment I saw this I thought, this could go sour quickly. Everyone whose read on here knows what I don't like about the MSW plot. I also think a lot has been read into very few words.

I will say this, given how much some people, myself included, hate what is posted, it had better be wrong or we could be approaching PT level dislike.

I think Disney wants a dramatic and safe movie. They didn't spend 4 billion dollars to have Han choke on a sandwich and Luke get a tan on the beach while the world goes to crap.

I'm not saying certain scruffy nerf herders don't die, I'm saying it will be universally heroic if it is.

Remember this is not Han, Luke, and Leia's story. Its Finn, Rey, and Poe's story. Finn is the protagonist, not the main character, I think that is Rey, he is the protagonist because he pushes the whole story forward. The film simply does not happen without him.

I'll go somewhere around 70% correct.

Yeah, when that site posts something that can be proven to be the property of Disney, like a photograph.

Same reason LucasFilm could do nothing when all three of the prequel's stories leaked before the movies were released - it is just someone's own words, presented as what someone believes is going to happen in this movie.
Same reason they can't take down every post on every message board that says "Han Solo dies".

"These are good questions to be asking. I can't wait for you to find out the answers,"
That's what JJ said about people wondering where Luke is and why he isn't on poster etc
To me a small cameo appearance is not worthy of "I can't wait". Does he think we all going to celebrate a small cameo appearance and think "well that was worth the wait!". Excluding a major character from the story of episode 7 only works if they make a grand entrance.
Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley don't need their stunt doubles to be on Skellig Michael for a small scene of dialogue.
Knights of Ren are played by stunt doubles.

How long does it take to film this scene?

"Rey walks up a set of old stone steps carved into the mountain. She comes up to a hooded figure in a stone hut, and puts the lightsaber in his hand.

    It’s Luke Skywalker.

    The End."

How long does it take to film the scene I suggested?

How long were they all on Skellig Michael?

I think a good chunk will be accurate to the spoilers, but there will be a lot of surprises.
