Finn - Don't listen to the Hyperbole

    The movie implies he worked sanitation on star killer UNTIL he gets to the village massacre where he is a foot soldier and if the book is right he was moving up the ranks.

    No hint of force sensitivity is wrong IMO. It's very brief however when finn lands on the village and his friend dies it triggers something, a sense to reject that life. As he goes through this moment kylo turns as if he senses something, only for a split second and in the chaos stares at finn. IMO, this is a VERY small nod that finn is not some lowly ST.

    Why is finn in a Coma? Because during the battle he actually manages to fend kylo off but one wrong move and it looks like kylo runs his sabre right up finns back.

    This movie is all about rey's force potential. BUT i did not walk out of the screening assuming it was impossible for finn to be FS.

    Finn and Rey tie for Best on Screen. The guy is a masterful performer.

    There is absolutely no hint that Finn is force sensitive. Maybe he was trained with a staff as the other trooper was during their fight but Maz didn't recognize him as force sensitive and he was just brave in the end but that's it.

    Kylo was injured by Chewie and weakened by his inury during the fight but Finn got his ass kicked during the fight.

    so when kylo turns and looks at finn in the chaos of the village, you didn't take that as a very small nod that finn was "something else". I thought that stood out for a reason

    It's not as obvious as with Rey. This girl is really strong with the Force.

    WAIT REALLY?!?!?!???!?! Can you describe this scene more in depth? Like Does Kylo abruptly turn To finn?? Like Finn's reaction happens and Kylo faces him when it does? How else would you describe this?

    Hey guys, first post here.
    I honestly think that this was used to demonstrate how strongly Finn was opposed to what was happening and his turmoil. It was so strong that Ren could sense it.

    It could just be becaue Kylo noticed Finn's state of frozen terror.

    No Kidding...
    I'm still not sure where she got the idea for the mind trick though...



    So, after Kylo cuts Lor San Tekka down, Poe tries to shoot him, but Kylo notices and stops the blaster bolt and Poe on the spot. Stormtroopers take Poe away, then Phasma comes along and asks "What about the villagers?" Kylo says to kill them all.
    At this point, we see a bunch of stormtroopers including Finn readying their weapons - then we see them fire (except for Finn). They move away, but Finn just kind of stands there frozen.
    Kylo who was looking elsehwere somehow notices, and turns to look at him for a moment before Finn comes to his senses.

    It's mostly important for when the First Order are trying to establish who broke Poe out. An officer mentions that there was inside help, and Kylo basically just says "the one at the village."

    I'm open minded, but if I had to answer I'd say it was used to display Finn's turmoil and Ren's power (he seemed to be able to sense the entire 'battle' in the village and can search non-force sensitives later in the film (unless Poe ends up being senso also, which is a possibility, being the best pilot in the Resistance). If he could only sense force-sensitives, you would think that he would recognise what he was sensing and do something about it.

    Rey had been trained, she forgot for the most part because the slaughter of the academy has been traumatic. She partially recovers her memory during the movie and really awakened during the fight with Kylo when he spoke about the Force.

    She had some shivers ( The Force, the Force ) and then it came back and she defeated Kylo ( who was injured badly ).

    There has been an awakening, have you felt it ? It's the very point of the movie.
