Finn VS Stormtrooper...

Is this the SAME stormtrooper that was sooo cool, he got AN ENTIRE ARTICLE WRITTEN JUST ABOUT HIM?!! AH, WELL ISN'T THAT A SHAME, I GUESS THAT SAME WRITER CAN DEDACATE ANOTHER ARTICLE TO HOW COOL HE LOOKED WHEN HE THE s@!$!! KNOCKED OUT HIM!!!

 

I am wondering the significance of this Stormtooper. Did Finn and him have a past together?

The way they face off in this scene.......

 

My thoughts exactly.

 

I mentioned a while back in another thread that this trooper is actually more significant than we are being led to believe, which is one of the reasons that he has been shown multiple times. I believe that this trooper is really Pip Anderson's character as he looks to be oddly athletic for a storm trooper and Pip Anderson is a master of Parkour. I believe he refuses to turn his back on The FO when Finn asks him for help to escape, which is why he turns to Poe Dameron for help to escape, and, when they do, Pip Anderson pretends to turn A blind eye...however, Phasma and Hux are aware of their special bond, and they force Pip Anderson to hunt down his best friend, which is why he is with Kylo Aden/Phasma's troops. I bet his dialogue will be something along the lines of Anakin and Obi-Wan on Mustafar...


Finn: what are you doing? Stand down...I don't want to kill you.

Pip: I have to kill you. We were brothers and you betrayed us.

Finn: Don't try it.

Pip: I'll do what I must.


Pip BARELY gets Finn on the ground and he's about to finish Finn but then gets shot and dies .

 

I like this idea. It would only take a few seconds of screen time and would add weight to Finns defection.

I hope the dialog is better than Anakins/Obi-Wans from ROS.

Before reading AstromechRecords I was thinking that maybe Daniel Craig was playing this stormtrooper.

Daniel Craig seems to be above being in the field but rather a more sassy version of Tarkin .

 

Imagine: the Stormtrooper has Finn down on the ground and he says: YOU WERE MY BROTHER FN-####! I LOV...and he gets shot.

 

Stormtroopers are ONLY as bad as the STORY needs them to be. They hit when the story calls for it, and they miss when the story needs them to miss, otherwise our heroes would be dead. This stormtrooper manages to knock Finn down only because the STORY calls for it. If this trooper was so great, why didn't he kill Finn? If Finn is so outclassed by a mere stormtrooper they surely he would be dead! If the stormtrooper was no joke, then he would have deflected the shot that killed him! No, I don't think these First Order Stormtrooper are any better or worse than the ones in the OT. Sure, they've got new gear and look cool, but still the same underneath; only now we have one who's defecting which is far more worth of an article than some nameless cannon fodder. By the way, did anyone get the name of the strormtooper who backhanded Han Solo in ROTJ? Or the stormtrooper who got the drop on Leia in Jedi? Or How about the clone trooper who shot Stass Allie off her speederbike? How about the ones who killed uncle Ben and aunt Beru? Maybe someone could dedicate an article to one of those as well!

The only thing that would make that scene better is if Daniel Craig walks onto the scene in a tuxedo shoots the stormtrooper and then turns to the camera and blood comes down from the top of the camera lens and then he just walks off the screen and the movie continues.


Or if Craig is the stormtrooper and every time the camera cuts to him the James Bond theme plays.

 

He likes blue milk...shaken, not stirred .

 

It's time to duel, Finn wins this one.

 

I really hope so. Otherwise it is pretty weird

 

Why not a lady Stormtrooper? Maybe an overly attached girlfriend from those good all times at the Stormtrooper Academy?

 

There are literally hundreds of stormtroopers, that one is probably attacking one of Maz's people, I doubt Finn goes down after just getting to use the lightsaber, it would make more sense to see him get more comfortable with it fighting these troopers so that when he goes against Kylo he's alot more confident, if he gets beat by a trooper why would he even attempt to use it against Kylo.

I doubt the Stormtrooper will get the better of Finn in their duel. If that Stormtrooper is about to deliver a fatal blow then I think some other factor has come into play during the duel. Example, Phasma interrupts and is holding Finn for the Stormtrooper to deliver an executing blow.
If Finn can't even beat a fellow Stormtrooper it doesn't make sense that he would later go against Kylo.
