    We now know that they used actual illuminated lightsaber blades on set in order to create interactive lighting with the actors. And it shows in the shots we've seen of Finn squaring off against Kylo Ren. At first I wondered why someone would ignite a lightsaber with the blade just inches away from one's own head, but now it makes sense. Makes Finn look kinda stupid though...

    Pictures might help. So far I thought it looked in keeping with everything else we have seen with sabre's.

    I mean Luke aimed it at his eye in ANH till Lucas "fixed it" with the SE.

    I am pretty sure that Kylo is far more likely to injure himself with his own sabre. The wrong twist of the wrist and he lops his own hand off.

    I know of a rumor floating around that Kylo Ren's lightsaber breaks the second it connects with Finn's, which is when he uses the Force to knock down Finn and take the lightsaber from him . . .but Idk how bullish it was or not .
