Finn's missing "weapon"...

    When Finn comes out of the rubble with Maz & company after the attack by the First Order, he turns to Maz and states "I need a weapon", to which Maz replies, "you have one!" and points out the Lightsaber he holds in his hand.

    The question is; Where is Finn's blaster rifle that he had strapped over his shoulder just moments earlier in Maz's basement? And we see him again with that rifle when they are at the Resistance base.

    Good question. The film purposely took it away in order to force Finn to use a lightsaber, even though he wasn't established as Force sensitive or trained with this Jedi weapon. Why? Because Disney's marketing thought it was a good idea to make Finn a red herring in order to make the *BIG REVEAL* that Rey was the real Jedi.

    And what did Finn get for all of this? His butt kicked - twice. Oh, and a coma.

    Waa-waaa...
