    .
    Thanks Darth Crackpot

Fast forward to the last minute or so for the clip though the interview with Ms. Jones is sort of entertaining.

The scene is done well, reminds me of the original Indiana Jones with the chase sequence with Marion in the basket both in action, pacing and comedic content as well as the soundtrack. I like it a lot. Music sounds Williamsish but still unique.

    The clip isolated.

    Thanks Pomojema

Staying true to the OT, the storm troopers are bumbling fools that can't hit anything they shoot at

Watched it with closed eyes just to listen to the score, but I was too weak. I opened my eyes and watched the whole thing. Darn, that moment there at the end is totally a spoiler, though mild. If I'd watched that for the first time in the cinema, it'd have a lot of shock value.

I'm hoping this was edited down for tv, and that's why we don't see that stormtrooper's fate. You can actually see his blaster raised when Cassian first comes around the corner, so I suspect they at least filmed Larry's demise. I hope it ends up in the final cut.

More importantly, we don't see how Jyn ends up bloodied and with a stormtrooper's blaster. There's obviously more to this scene, and it involves Jyn getting knocked around. I REALLY hope this didn't end up on the cutting room floor for non-artistic reasons, like Disney being reluctant to show their heroine being hit.

I love the clip, but not the score. At least so far. I know that this is just a small part of a larger scene, so the music is out of context in a way. I'm definitely not giving up on it. But already it sounds like the Michael Giacchino I know. And I've never been a fan.

I will never criticize the man's talent. And what he pulled together for this movie in a month is mind bending. His style just doesn't do it for me.

Still, the clip was great. If I could enjoy the new Star Trek movies despite the score, it won't bother me here either.

I loved the clip: Jyn aggressively taking out troopers and K2S0 is going to kill it!

While I enjoy Giacchino's work in other films, this (albeit very short) clip feels...weird. Even the lesser scores by Williams always bring an intangible element of magic to the SW movies, and now I have to accept that for the spin-offs that small bit is gone. Williams is, and always has been, absolutely essential to SW feeling like SW. There is no doubt in my mind that the prequels would be unwatchable without him (and I say that as a prequel apologist).

I'm still very excited to see R1 --- it looks like they absolutely nailed the visual style and it may end up as the best looking Star Wars movie ever, but I'm just a little sad to know this next era in the galaxy will be one that Williams doesn't inhabit.

But who knows. Perhaps once the "shock of the new" wears off, this score will be fantastic. Fingers crossed.

Oh, look they're doing that thing where the guy stands back while the gal kicks more ass than she appears capable of. I wonder if the people making this SW movie saw the other recent SW movie.

If somebody does the no-look behind the back shot that kills a stormtrooper, I'm going to have to call Kathleen Kennedy and have a word.

Imo its pretty reminiscent of William's style, but yeah... There is only one John Williams.
As far as Im concerned the only active composers worthy of Williams are Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard. Giacchino is very talented, but I usually feel his music just fades away with the scene.

Thought the clip was amazing! The score? .... was different but just a small clip so I'll wait till I get the bigger picture to decide.

It was a good clip. Something little that I noticed and probably other people did too. Cassian gives a similar look of disbelief/amazement, towards Jyn, as Finn did to Rey when she was fighting those thugs.

It looks interesting but looks like "banter" from a typical action movie to make it lighter...I wonder if it's from the normal shoot or the reshoot..

Could this be a bit of breaking news? Looks legit to me at least upon first review.
