Now that's a good one, my weird worry has been purged.

It's back again another weird one.

 

I honestly can't believe Disney allowed this to be so cheaply animated. The writing isn't terrible either, making it more annoying.

 

Disney buys Fox 4 almost 70 billion. U think day can spend a tad mor on animation.

 

That doesn't excuse anything. It sets a low standard for Star Wars, and actually makes me think Disney considers girl-skewing programming as second rate.

 

TBH the writing bothers me more than the animation. The dialogue really doesn't hold up, even to the other cartoons. It's annoying to me that it's cannon when so much of the dialogue feels child-directred and unnatural to the characters.

I'm usually the one urging people to stop talking about "Disney" creating Star Wars and think more about the individual creators. But when Master Yoda essentially told Ashoka to "be herself," it felt way more like the Mouse talking than the tough Jedi training we see in other Star Wars media.

 

I think people mean "The Machine" when they say "Disney", the idea that there's a committee overlooking it all with a team of lawyers and marketers with equal say to anyone from a creative field. I imagine Disney Store executives have more creative say over this show than the writers.

The writing isn't good, but it isn't terrible either. The Leia/Han/Hera episode is quite charming. The voice acting doesn't really sell the writing at all, but it's no better or worse than your average episode of Rebels.

 

Okay, I might get screamed at for this, but I haven't watched any episodes of this show yet.

It's definetly no must-watch...

To me, I find most of the episodes to be bland and forgettable. It really is a mixed bag, as there are definetly not any "great" ones, but there only one or two "terrible" ones. If you have some free time, I'd say go for it, but don't be expecting too much.

FoD Season 2 started today with Hasty Departure.

Nice action scenes from Sabine and Hera, and the comedy relief provided by Chopper was in the right place. No complain.

I wonder when exactly in the timeline these events happen. Perhaps prior to S2.E8 Stealth Strike, where a stolen Imperial shuttle was used by Kanan and Rex, but it's not clear how the rebel cell managed to steel such ship.
