RUMOR General Hux's Fate in The Last Jedi

Hux will bring Snoke some ice cream and all will ok.

But I don't believe Hux will die. Would be crazy if he defected though.

 

I hope he dies quickly in TLJ. Of all the major actors in TFA I thought Domhnall Gleeson's performance was the weakest. He kept making this face like he just smelled a fart:



This picture is close but doesn't quite do it justice. Hopefully you guys know what I'm talking about. I just felt like he was overacting the fact that his character was mad all the time.

 

The big difference between Kylo and Vader is that Anakin was a general in the Clone Wars and was therefore experienced in commanding troops and in military tactics. All Kylo has is his force powers, to the best of our knowledge, Ben never held any military position in the republic. So I can't see Kylo ever realistically becoming a military leader, which would mean if Hux bites the dust it will be someone else to take his place.

 

Or maybe some randomer, like Piett, who wasn't in ANH but was pretty much second to Vader after Ozzel got force choked. I still think that unless Del Toro is Thrawn he's going to be more than just a FO officer.

 

HUX will die just when...I really wish Phasma was more of a commanding role and written better in TFA. GC is great and if they were to Kill Hux it would make sense (movie world sense) that she would move into that sort of role. but they mis handled her character so poorly that it could never happen now.
she could have been the new "boba Fett" or the military leader. both would have been interesting to see her play. but now both would be laughable due to her weakness.

 

She is the new Boba Fett though. All Fett did was stand around and look cool most of his time in the movies.

 

It would be funny if he was blasted with the force into deep space, a strong force push would do with Kylo taking pleasure from it..

 

He will make a mistake and Snoke will demote him : he will take the job previously
taken by FN 2187 .

 

Hux will become the Supreme Leader. He deserves it. None of you understand his excellence.

Yeah, I have to agree.

While Kylo is the force sensitive apprentice that Snoke wants to mold and craft because of the "superior material" he comes from, Hux is definitely his right hand man, at least from a military standpoint. He is the model of loyalty to the cause and does everything the Supreme Leader wants him to do. Sure, the fugitives initially got away on his watch, but everything that happens thereafter is certainly not Hux's fault. In fact, it is really Kylo Ren's fault. Besides, Starkiller accomplished exactly what Snoke wanted, it obliterated the New Republic so that there is likely a complete power vacuum in the galaxy that the First Order can now fill. I actually don't think Snoke will be upset about losing Starkiller one bit. He may very well be upset that Luke Skywalker has been found, but I suspect the blame for that may fall more squarely on Kylo Ren's shoulders by taking his eyes of the ball (literally, taking them off of the droid) and focusing on THE GIRL.

After all, what kind of thanks would it be for Hux if he does exactly as Snoke compels him to do by saving his emo-brat-beat-up-by-THE-GIRL apprentice (and Captain Phasma), all before Starkiller goes supernova, and then Snoke or Kylo Ren just turn around and kill the guy?

That just doesn't make any sense to me.

If anything, I think Snoke is going to be pissed off at Kylo Ren moreso than Hux. That's why I think Snoke's statement to Hux that it is time to complete Kylo Ren's training means it is not going to be a pleasant experience for Kylo Ren. I see Snoke cementing Kylo Ren in the dark side (something Kylo himself could not do) through some serious torture, showing him the true nature of the dark side. All of which I suspect Hux will relish as he watches from the sidelines...

 

I think they will use HUX to show how Sith are not the only evil that can jeopardize peace in the galaxy.
I would not be surprised if he gets a bigger role than expected, even if I thought he would be crushed by Snoke early in the film.
