General Lego Star Wars Discussion Thread

i feel like the only person in the universe who loved the FO helmets from TFA more than anything in the world. : o (

Personally, I don't have too big of a problem with it. It might be a bit jarring to have an army with both variations in it, but I see it remniscent of how, in the original trilogy, there were minor differences between the stormtrooper helmets.

 

Some more sets have leaked. We've already seen these sets, but these are like the final versions or better quality pictures. The Jedi/Clone Battle Pack looks nice, but I wish that they were two seperate battle packs. Plus, those stud shooters... Oh well, I'll still get multiples of it to build my tiny Clone Trooper army!

Anyway, Yoda's Hut looks great, probably one of my favorite 2018 sets so far. All of the figures are new and great, the build looks great accurate, and the fact that this is the first version of this location in over 10 years makes it a must-have.

From Solo: A Star Wars Story, these higher quality photos make the sets look even better. The Imperial Patrol Battle Pack looks even more interesting, now that we can see the figs in better detail. The build looks nice and is actually from the movie, which both doesn't happen very often with battle packs. Han Solo's Landspeeder looks a tad smaller than I thought it'd be, but it still looks great. I love the two minifigures and all of the detail put into the build itself. Moloch's Landspeeder looks quite cool. Fingers crossed that Moloch is a Pyke! The TIE Fighter looks amazing and the minifigs do too. (Though I was off with my guess that Han was dressed an ISB agent.)

I just feel that the latter two sets are overpriced. I think both speeders should be $25-30 and the TIE Fighter should be $50-60.

Overall, after the mixed January wave, this April wave of sets looks fantastic.

Edit: literally just after I posted this, I found new pics of the Kessel Run Millenium Falcon. I like the new design a lot better in these pictures. While still a tad too similar to the last two non-UCS Millenium Falcons, this one keeps things fresh with a new color design. The minifigs looks great too, though that Chewie looks a little funky. At least he can fit in the cockpit this time!

Yo, what's up my Lego bros? If you like big Lego MOCs and dioramas, you should check out Solid Brix Studios. He has a huge Lego Star Wars collection and builds fantastic displays. After seeing those two teasers for Solo, that Kessel Run Millenium Falcon looks even more tempting.

What is your guys' opinions on knockoff Lego sets? (There are some pictures up above provided by @Moral Hazard.) While they're a much cheaper alternative to Lego, I despise Lepin and all the other knockoff brands for plagurizing Lego's hard work. The designers of Lego sets are so underappreciated and to have their work copied by an illegal company is just disgusting to me.

 

No, thankfully I've never seen any firsthand LOL, but I believe the parts doesn't have anything on them.
