Wondering what UCS set to get next. I've got the Slave I, B-Wing, and TIE Fighter. All three are beautifully detailed.

The other rumored set is a UCS Star Destroyer. I’m sure that one will cost an arm and a leg too! ;)

A UCS AT-AT would be really nice. Or a TIE Advanced.

If you want to buy a LEGO Resistance Bomber, better watch out, because there is a revised version of the set with a new minifigure. Here's more info on that matter.

I know what you mean, although I admit that there’s appeal in the Snowspeeder set as the whole Hoth sequence is my favourite bit of the entire saga.

Agreed, but I already have the Sand Speeder version, and then there is one also in the Hoth Base box that still rests on the cupboard…

To be honest, I’ve still hope that with the 20th Anniversary Minifigures there will be some interesting ones. BUT with Lego’s new policy how they pack the display boxes for them, it’s getting more and more unattractive to hunt for a certain character, as they now come in different rarities.

For example with the late Harry Potter Minifigure series, the basic display box contained 60 bags, which included 22 different characters (22x3 != 60). Of these 60, only 1(!) satchel contained Percival Graves / Gellert Grindelwald. If I’m not totally mistaken, the satchel was always placed in the upper left corner of the boxes. Knowing this, quite a number of dealers took them out before they were offered to the public. So this figure was not even acquirable by all those kids who brought one satchel after another for 4,- EUR each!

    HP_miniF_01.png

Of course, you can buy that one now for $22.00 / EUR 29.90 at Amazon from the guys who hand-picked the ones from the boxes before they even got into circulation.

    HP_miniF_02.png

This is also true to a lesser degree for 4 other characters, but they were included not once but twice in that box (all others of the 22 could be found three-times).

Among other things, this destroys the opportunity for dealers, to open-up all those satchels and sell 3x20 or 3x22 complete sets of figures to collectors, who would easily pay that 80,- bugs with the uncertainty removed to get some of the figures multiply times.

All in all, that's not a customer friendly sales/product strategy from LEGO, just greedy behavior.

Let’s see which of the Star Wars characters will be the ultra-rare one and fans would kill for. Boushh? Senator Palpatine? Captain Rex?

The normal sets coming in April don’t hold so much attraction for me, we already own quite a lot Endor & Hoth sets, and I’m not convinced to such a degree by SW Resistance that Lego sets from it would be in order.

Yesterday, it was all strong winds and heavy rain around here. The perfect moment to dive into the new LEGO Star Wars set 75234, the AT-AP Walker.

Opening bag No. 1, it was nice to meet these three fellas, including Clone Commander CC-1004, aka Gree, of the 41st Elite Corps of the Grand Army of the Republic.

    LSW_75234_AT-AP_01.jpg

As expected, lots of technique bricks where used for building up that cockpit (and later on the legs).

    LSW_75234_AT-AP_02.jpg

A really great detail, that targeting computer for the weaponry: Already in the cross hairs is a HMP Droid Gunship of Geonosian design from Baktoid Fleet Ordnance, now again available in the LEGO SW set 75233.

With bag No. 3, two more guys joined the fray: Chewbacca and a Clone Scout Trooper in woodland camouflage armor.

    LSW_75234_AT-AP_04.jpg

To keep up with a high building performance, energizing balls of various flavors were in order.

Finally, after 5 bags of bricks, the troops were ready for deployment.

Backed-up by an AT-RT from the 501st, an approaching MTT from the Confederacy could be taken on head-on right away.

What do y'all think of the newest Jedi Starfighter from episode 2? I've been thinking of getting it but my beef is that it looks NOTHING like the original. Is there a way around this?

    This is the original:

I freakin loved the original set

Hm, depends on how much you like the figures and that hyperspace module. That set 75191 can be brought for about 80,00 bucks around here, although it’s almost 2 years old (so it’s not really new).

I like the figures, but personally, I don’t like those Delta-7 Jedi fighters enough to spend so much money on it. The current version with Anakin (yellow style) is sold for around 24,00 EUR …, but then again, it misses the hyperdrive module.
