    OK LEGO SW fanatics.....looking for an updated T-65 X-Wing....is the #9493 the latest version of the T-65? That is going for like $210+ on Amazon!! Is LEGO going to release a T-65 in their new Rogue One line? I need a T-65 for a Yavin-4 hangar scene we are building - we have the T-70 Resistance X-Wing but that is no good for Yavin.....

    I think that it will be a while before the next T-65. There is already two T-70 X-Wings on the market right now and most consumers don't know the difference between the two. Not to mention, that it appears that they seem to be done making Rogue One sets after the ones they released last month. (Battle on Scarif, Y-Wing, Battle Packs, etc.) I would prefer a T-65 as well, but we might have to wait a bit for an updated one.

    There is also this great site called Brinklink that allows you to order any Lego minifig or set that you want, so if you're alright with it being used, you can potentially get the latest T-65 cheaper. Here's a linky-link:

    OK folks, my sons and I tackled Yavin-4 hangar scene today, made a lot of progress. We found our Helm's Deep and also Weathertop lego sets which gallantly donated their Legos to the cause.

    Here is my son in the before shot, notice the Imperial Officer cap....

    Here is where we stopped today - got the Y-Wing positioned and also got the screenshots from the yavin-4 scene in ANH printed as background. The walls are shaping up nicely. A couple of pilots are observing from an upper level of the maintenance shop in the corner. Notice the rebel maintenance groundcrew at work, both on the ground with various testing units/ground power units attached, also note the two crew chiefs on top! The pilot is in the cockpit and they are doing final preflight preps as they are launching immediately, note the X-Wing taking off in the background. Chewie and Han are posing in front....

    More photos from Yavin-4 hangar.....please allow us to substitute our Resistance T-70 X-Wing for a T-65 Rebel X-Wing (we are working on getting a Lego T-65, set #9493)....anyway, here is an overhead shot of the X-Wing, note we had to build a motorized "crane" to drop the R2 unit in, check it out....

    We needed one of those carts they transport the pilots to the spacecraft so my son built one by scratch, check it out

    There is a deal at Toys R Us for 20% off all Lego Star Wars products. Pretty good deal on newer sets, not so much the older ones.

    Spurred by this post, I went to check if there were any matching deals online... sadly there weren't, but it did highlight that Amazon have some problems with their product descriptions - including apparently giving away the fact that one of Unkar's thugs must be Rey's parent...! :D

    So, I stumbled across this scratch-built Lego Echo Base earlier... looks awesome, but the pedant in me wants words with the builder over the placement of the dish and roundels on the Falcon and the red squadron markings on the wings of the fighters! I don't care about the motorised hangar doors - it's about the details man, the details!

    For anyone else waiting on this set, Brickipedia have posted that "75167 Bounty Hunter Speeder Bike Battle Pack is a Star Wars battle pack to be released on June 1, 2017. The set is based on a speeder which will appear in Season Two of LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures."

    I'd assumed that the set was just canon characters with a random new speeder design to push sales and hadn't realised that it was tied to the non-canon Freemaker Adventures tv show.

    Anyway, for anyone geeking out on the cool minifigs like me, you can probably order the set by Thursday and have four little dudes (plus a Vader and Fett if you have them) hanging out on an appropriate shelf by Saturday... with no disintegrations! :D

    I've not been too fussed about the Lego SW buildable figures generally speaking. I was gifted a General Kenobi and a K-2SO, but having just seen this set of the Scout (noted elsewhere as my favourite Trooper variant) and a to-scale classic vehicle in the imminent Summer '17 Lego releases I've just found my first to purchase for myself!!
