I have a question...I am about to re-watch Rebels soon since I watched TCW. <3 but I am wondering if BNI-393 appears? I thought maybe I saw a similar droid with the rabbit like ears...I can't remember.

No it hasn't appeared yet. You may have seen one of Maul's droids & mistaken it.

    Oh :(

    *lowers head*

I hope we will see these bunny like droids in the ST somewhere. I can see one of em helping not just the new characters but R2 and BB8

I doubt we will as DISNEY AND LFL are trying to distance from the prequels for some reason

The way i see it...whats stopping LFL from going back and examining old concepts and then try to utilize them in a way that didnt work the first time or didnt quite fit into the PT. RotS is still considered part of the larger story where it connects to the OT in ways that it worked in some capacity than what we had thought would actually happen...going by what Obi-Wan told Luke of the past. Only from a certain point of view...lols

Its cool though that they are in a way going back and reworking some old concepts that didnt work out. Even though the LEP servant droids did appear in TCW, the one episode that had BNI 393 helping R2 and his D squad, who would have thought they would use that concept for the ST. I wish we could have seen them. In fact, i hope Bunny survived past the clone wars...

Crud...im getting too attached to not only the most important droids like R2 with BB8 but Bunny is so cute and the way her voice sounds is a nice femine touch. If you remember the episode Point of no Return...you'll get why that episode is my fave. Its a side of the clone wars that stood out to me and made me feel that droids can also be heroes in their own right. Shes smaller than R2 but as a jedi master once said, size doesnt matter. :D

The only case where they seemed to be doing that was with The Force Awakens(which I get as they wanted to establish a fresh start with that film). Everywhere else they seem to be just fine acknowledging the Prequels. Rebels has tons of references to the Prequels, as do the books, comics and videogames(they made a pretty big deal out of the Clone Wars being included in Battlefront II). Additionally, Rogue One had no problem referencing the Prequels either. Whether it be small references like the Clone tank that Jyn is being held on at the beginning, or larger references like including Jimmy Smits as Bail Organa. They didn't have to include him if they didn't want to.

This whole narrative that they are trying to distance themselves from the Prequels just doesn't hold up. Will we see some of the worse elements of the Prequels again like Jar Jar and the Gungans, probably not, but that doesn't mean they are trying to distance themselves from the Prequels as a whole.

Agree! Rebels has Ashoka...Rex...even makes plenty of references to The clone wars series and RotS which makes the show just as watchable as TCW.

Thanks Admiral. You said it better than what I could have done to put into words. Pretty reasonable explanation. :)

So the slashfilm article confirmed from DF that the wolf in the image is a Loth-Wolf.

I think having a scenario that Ahsoka is able to change into a type of wolf found on Lothol is a bit of a stretch. However, Ezra being able to "communicate" with an animal - on Lothol or not - is already set as a precedence.

Sabine looks hurt, so it seems much more likely for Ezra to use his Force ability to get a Loth-Wolf to help them escape or get her to help in time, than it is for Ahsoka to come back, but as a Wolf.

Who's to say that Ahsoka's not channeling the wolf from a distance? Again, if we go by the obvious Princess Mononoke thing that's going on, it's likely that we're going to have wolves that communicate telepathically.

But again, why would she need to be, when there is a more obvious in-story reason for this scene to happen?

We have Ezra with the very prominent ability (except in S3, sadly) to communicate and to some degree control animals and creatures. It is completely fitting for that ability to come back to the forefront this season, especially on Lothol, with an animal type he already knows. If Ahsoka is somehow "in" the wolf, then there is no need for Ezra's ability, and all of his ability is moot.

So, if Ahsoka is a wolf, or communicating via the wolf, and Ezra is not using his ability, then Dave F would be wasting an integral part of the main character of this show only to pander to his "inspiration" for Ahsoka.

You make a good point; Ezra can already communicate with animals. However, what about the link between Ahsoka and wolves that Filoni has alluded to?

Alright I'm calling it right now. Lothal could never be liberated by the Rebels because of continuity issues. That would be a major win by the Rebellion, but if our Jedi help unite the Mandalorians they then could take over the Lothal and annex it into the Mandalorian collection of planets. The Empire doesn't want to start a war with a united Madalore and so signs a treaty that saves Lothal and keeps the peace. That would also explain why the Mandalorians weren't involved in the Rebellion and possibly why the Tie defender doesn't appear later in the timeline.
