General Resistance talk

I am thinking they are past TLJ (I think you must have meant the D'Qar base?) and into the period between TLJ and TRoS, and with all of the Colossus's technical issues and jumping away from the FO, they missed Leia's message. Surely we are at least two weeks post Battle of D'Qar...?

 

Yes I mean D'Qar. Brain fart. Seems to happen a lot more as approach your mid 50s

 

I prefer to think of these things as the patina of a vintage brain. (Because I have them too. )

 

"The Voxx Vortex 5000" was a decent episode. Not hugely impactful regarding the larger story, but definitely character developing and team building. This season has sort of a "Battlestar Galactica" vibe, especially this episode, but that isn't a bad thing. The next episode is "Kaz's Curse."

 

At least Kaz wasn't a Kaztrastrophe this episode. And Neeku was awesome. But where is the Colossus going? Is it just floating aimlessly around space looking for credits/supplies? I feel like we need an end goal here.

 

I think they want to join up with the rest of Athens Resistance, but didn’t get to D’Qar in time. Probably for the best since we know a lot of them get wiped out in TLJ.

I’m guessing the Colossus will continue to look for clues but won’t be able to catch up to them until after Crait (end of TLJ). They’ll be on their own adventure till then. Maybe we’ll see the Colossus in TRoS.

I wonder if they will get Leia’s distress call from Crait, but be unable to respond?

 

I think that distress call must have already happened and they missed it during their power outages. TLJ only spanned a few days, and surely it’s been longer than that by now.

 

I like how Vrank mentioned that all of his patrons/customers left his place and went to Canto Bight. That was a nice nod to TLJ.

 

Just got caught up on S1 via Disney Plus this long weekend (so I'm avoiding all other posts here, for spoilers), but just wanted to share my thoughts:

It's definitely an interesting series. I really like the unique setting, despite my initial reservations, and I think it really played well into how the season ended.

Seems like it took a while to pick up, but once the First Order arrived I found the show immensely more enjoyable.

Other than that... having watched it all in one day, it seems like it all just kinda breezed by for me. I liked what I saw, but it blows me away that if this show just gets the rest of season 2 before it ends, then I've already seen half of Resistance. It feels like there's so much more to tell!

 

Maybe Kaz will be cursed with gracefulness and physical coordination.

 

That guy wouldn't have been able to curse me because soon as he came toward me and licked the palm of his hand I would have been out of there.

 

Nice to see Hux again.

it's Ben Pendergast. he sounds good as Hux, though. : D
it's too bad it's not Domhnall Gleeson, but it would be very expensive to have him run a handful of lines, i'm sure.
i doubt Driver will play Kylo Ren when we finally see him either.

 

“Station to Station” was a pretty good episode, especially compared to some we’ve gotten recently. It features both Tam and Kaz, plus plenty of Neeku and CB-23, not to mention the annoying Ruckland.

I just feel like we need to have a goal for the Colossus crew other than “We have to survive!” Like maybe trying to connect with the rest of the Resistance or at least find out if they still exist.

 

The timeline now for Resistance is fuzzy. I assume that this latest episode takes place after The Last Jedi. Hux mentions the Supreme Leader, but not by name.
