p.s. the end scene of episode 11 (when Kaz presents his gift to Neeku) was absolutely predictable, but still completely hilarious. XD

 

Honestly, I didn't see that coming (I did chuckled a little at that scene) but I did find the reason behind why that octopus/kracken (what ever you call it) looking creature that was attacking the Colossus was pretty predictable.

 

best. thing. ever. on the show thus far ~ hahaha

on the one hand this latest episode is kind of filler, but one of the things that it does quite brilliantly is that is reminds you of the entire cast of characters: the engineers, the runaway kids, william zabke, the pirates, Doza, all of the Aces. very nicely done for getting us back into life on the Colossus.

 

William Zabke? Do you mean the Elijah Wood character whateverhisnameis?

Yes, I was just going to remark on the fact that this episode brings in everyone. It also reminds us that though the aces are supposed to defend the Colossus, they...aren't all that effective. Hence the potential foothold for the FO. Also, yet another SW cartoon example of monsters...not really being monsters. (I mean, they don't even stink as bad as Kaz does, if Nikku is to be believed. )

good point about the Aces' ineffectiveness! also, if the little guy is that stinky, don't you think the big guy should have knocked them all out with his BO? XD

and of course, it wouldn't be Star Wars without tentacles, so everyone can check off that Bingo box. : D

Maybe it's a baby's defense mechanism just until it grows its tentacles.

I wonder if the big critter, now being Neeku's pal, will come into play later, like Neeku's friends the Chelidae did? (I think we can definitely rule gorgs out of this phenomenon.)

if/when the merch hits the shelves for this show, i'm buying it... all of it.

 

Neeku served a good moral lesson about letting go and its something a kid could easily understand. That being said, he was willing to sacrifice the station over his pet? Ugh... I have to remind myself that this is a kids show.

 

Wouldn't a Colossus playset be awesome? It should come with all the main characters, and then you can add in little sets of the background characters that are sold separately...for instance, the aces and their planes, a Captain Doza with a hologram projector (that can show Phasma or Pyre), and then Aunt Z, Opeepit, the blue alien with a crush on Kaz. There should also be a Torra Doza bedroom set that comes with all her toys, plus Buggles and a Buggles cleanup kit.

 

great.. i'm drooling everywhere now.

i hadn't even thought of a Colossus set.. i just wanted all the characters. i want that now !

i picked up Captain Pyre and a FO Stormtrooper last week at Target (because of course i did).
they had all the characters except Yeager. afterwards, i regretted not getting Torra and Poe/BB-8 at least.
we'll see if the shelves are cleaned out next time i get to the store. XD
