Good episode but I was really hoping we would of gotten some more meat about the sith or jedi lore. Obviously Kylo can't make an appearance but I feel like there should of been something more to this episode.

According to the season 2 trailer he does make a holo/transmission appearance to Agent Tierny. I would assume this somehow is leading up to that episode, whenever it will appear...

I agree—I wanted more Force stuff. *sigh*

I think now that someone is on board the Colossus that is force knowledgeable that we will get more.

I feel sure that either here or somewhere in SW in the next year we are going to get a bit more on how "purification by suppression" was a really, really, really terrible policy for the Jedi. Or for any other beings ever.

I really think Alex Damon from SW Explained completely missed the boat on this episode. He called it boring! For one, he's an avid Indiana Jones fan, but in his review video he seemed to miss the obvious connections to Raiders of the Lost Ark, starting with the dang episode's title. An abandoned temple containing a relic, booby-traps that are triggered by stepping on them, a special unit of the bad guy's army tasked with seeking out ancient artifacts of power, said ancient relic being used as a means to vanquish the bad guys-- none of that seemed to click with Alex, which surprised me, frankly. He's usually a pretty astute observer of these little details.

He did mention the bit about the Jedi temple being built atop a Sith temple as a purification act, and noted the same relationship exists within the Jedi temple on Coruscant. But when I watched the show, my first thought went to Ahch-to and the Dark Side cave on Dagobah.

Lastly, for someone who likes to connect the dots, I thought Alex missed the story opportunities this episode introduced, like how the First Order is searching for ancient relics of power and how others out there are on the same quest. And how that might possibly tie into a certain Sith lord helmet turning up in Ben Solo's quarters, or a certain lightsaber hilt turning up in the basement of one Maz Kanata. And yes, the introduction of the Force to the series and a character who can possibly mentor Eila, the stowaway girl on the Colossus, should not go unmentioned.

To me, the episode was the exact opposite of boring, but I'm not a YouTuber, so what do I know...

Yes, kind of interesting that there's a "Dark Side" cave at the bottom of Ach-To also. And the relic-hunting seems very important to the ST, namely Kylo Ren...

I thought an interesting tie-in to Force info from Rebels was that it takes two people to activate (or turn off) the temple stuff too.

But I do feel that we need something additional to tie this show in to the main events of the ST very soon. Just going out and getting supplies is getting old fast. The show needs to feel relevant to what's going on in the GFFA, even if the Colossus folks are not aware of it but we are.

The next possible crossover point is Leia's distress call from Crait at the end of TLJ. Does the Colossus receive it? Are they in a position to get there in time? Are they in any shape to even be useful to the Resistance? Could that be the show's mid-season cliffhanger? Let's find out!

It feels like we've got to be past that at this point...but since we don't have any way to count time, who knows? The Colossus was having all that trouble with communications early on, so maybe they missed it. In any case, I think we can be sure that if they do get the call from Leia, Kaz will be literally falling over himself to answer it. (Though obviously they're not going to arrive in time regardless.) :D

According to this site (I have no idea how reliable it is), there won't be a midseason break. I wonder if there are actually 19 episodes and we'll keep on going until the Clone Wars starts up on D+...

Another new charter and a great episode. I wish this wasn't the last season, but since it's running parallel to the current movies, something tells me everything is going to be very different after The Rise of Skywalker. I'm sure another Star Wars animated series will be on the horizon, probably on Disney+.

Several characters from The Clone Wars appeared in Rebels. I hope we see that happen in Resistance too, and whatever comes next.

I just hope this show ends by somehow incorporating with TRoS, at least with what we know of the Resistance and/or the state of the GFFA. I think it will (based on the relics episode), but it seems to be taking a circuitous route. :p

it does feel like it's gotten a little meandery; i feel like we've lost sight of their objective.
they refueled, they provisioned, and this last episode was a personal rendezvous.
someone remind me where they're going? or do they not even know?

all that said i do agree that i hope they somehow dovetail into Episode IX.
that would be very cool and might give us a hint whether there is a future for the characters under a different banner perhaps. : D

So how many days post the destruction of Ach-To base do people thing we are now in Resistance. I am really wondering what is going on in the ST timeline at the current point in time that Resistance is portraying. They need to keep the distress call unless blocked very soon.
