    Rumor: Here is video from earlier today from Meet the Movie Press with Umberto Gonzalez talking about his scoop of Felicity Jones's character. It starts around the 51:55 mark. I don't believe this rumor but thought it was entertaining.

    The timeline does not really work. Felicity Jones is 31 years old, but l think she can play a character who is much younger. Lets assume she is playing a person who is between 18 and 21 years old. Lets also assume that Rogue One takes place right before the events of ANH. During the events of ANH, the character of Boba Fett is 32 years old (i.e., Boba Fett was "created" in 32 BBY). If Felicity Jones is indeed playing Boba Fett's daughter who is 18 years old, then Boba Fett must have become a father when he was 14 years old.

    I'm going to mirror my thoughts on this from a private conversation where we brought this up.

    Keep in mind that at this point in the timeline, Boba Fett would be in his early or mid thirties. If Felicity Jones's character were his daughter, she would have to be almost as old as he is. In short, this would mean that he would have had to been laid at the ripe age of six years (or younger). This estimate is based on the canon stating that the Clone Army was ordered shortly before The Phantom Menace (which takes place 32 years before A New Hope, and by extension, 31 years before Rogue One) in order for Felicity's character's age to match up with her actress's age. They could cheat a little and say she's about 4-5 years younger than that, but again, Boba Fett would have to have been gettin' it in before he was old enough to shave for this to work. (BIOLOGY DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY! GOOD NIGHT!)

    Even if it turned out that she were Jango Fett's daughter, which is slightly more plausible, that's not even getting into the issue of how on Earth a Space-Maori guy would have a completely Space-Caucasian kid. And before we get into the whole "some guy killed kid Boba Fett and stole his identity" thing, Pablo Hidalgo confirmed that the Boba Fett we see in the Original Trilogy is the Boba Fett in the Prequel Trilogy (although the Boba Fett in Return Of The Jedi could have been an impostor - that's a silly little theory of mine).

    I think it's much more plausible to believe the rumor that Boba Fett and other Bounty Hunters might appear as antagonists in this movie.

    I agree, this rumor is just bonkers. I really hope it's not true (and I really don't think it is). Boba's most likely getting his own Anthology film, so it wouldn't be surprising if they start including him in more stuff as set up, but no. Just no. We don't need or want this.

    I don't think Tatooine or Jakku have Palm trees, this seems like a whole new planet. Kinda reminded me of that Rakata planet in KOTOR a beach tropical planet

    Good point. I had assumed the trees were all out of frame, but looking at the photos again it looks like they'll be on camera.

    in this pic there is a guy at the top all in black with a trooper pointing his gun at him, beneath thatthere is another guy all in black with a white shoulder strap (could be donnie yen) and at the bottom left group of people by the black boarding there is a figure with a black hood up
    far right along the bottom there is another guy dressed in costume black with black hair the man opposite him has an unsual back pack on so maybe costume or not!

    the guy at the top of the transport (enoying a diet coke in the shade!) is also in costume holding a weapon and possible wears a helmet or a mask with goggles on topas there is one by his feet, at the bottom of the ramp is the gut with the white strap again (donnie yen? or his double/stand in or just looks a bit like him!)

    I'm glad that Disney/LFL are using real actors for the stromtroopers, as in TFA. Real locations are very important too.

    I think, in the second picture, its a black Lambda Suttle (tydirium).

    The article states, "Gareth Edwards (Godzilla, Monsters) is directing Rogue One, which tells the story of resistance fighters who have united to steal plans to the dreaded Death Star." Is this just a turn of phrase? Are we not calling them the rebellion any more? Does this tie into the Resistance in TFA?

    I know and I had gotten used to Anthology and now this. Lol. But really I don't think it sounds that bad.

    Maybe this is like a pocket cell or something but resistance is pretty much rebels, isn't it?
