Is possible that after the backlash, they replaced Terrio with the guy who (along with JJ) gave them the most succesful and less controversial movie.

However the Kasdans also wrote the not-that succesful Solo.

I don't think Terrio was/is replaced. He's still very much present. Kasdan is just there to revise the script, but it's still very much JJ's and Terrio's script.

But at least it was a coherent story.

 

I hope Larry Kasdan is involved, even if slightly, in 9. He is just great at writing romance and if there is something the Star Wars universe really needs it’s a little bit of love...

 

Hey, I loved Solo! It was a good story

Actually, I think Kasdan should have revised TLJ script. Not because it was a bad script, but to have the same screenwriter involved in the entire trilogy (like Lucas revised Empire but was the one in which he had less input).

 

Or they need a huge soundstage.

Oh! Mark has shaved off his beard. Has he filmed his parts already? Mystery 'Beard'Box?

 

Man, is he trolling again...? Perhaps he's going to film his scenes late into production, so maybe he has time to grow it back. I hope they're not going for a fake one, it could look off.

They could just CGI a beard. So either Mark is in 9, or he's not. So are we gonna have a CGI beard or not, dammit!

 

My guess is that Luke will show up in a few key mentor/exposition scenes only and that these scenes are scheduled to be filmed during pickup in the Fall. These will probably also be CGI effects scenes (read: Luke will be all ghosted up), which makes continuity less of a problem. So, Mark has probably been given leave to have a beardless summer, and will grow (some of) it back in a few months' time.

Actually, you could argue that if this shaved Mark picture really was a spoiler for him either not showing up in IX or for him to be beardless, he would probably not have posted it in the first place. In a weird, roundabout way, the fact that he shows us the shavn Mark is proof this is not how he's gonna appear in IX

...or perhaps I'm just crazy.

 

Maybe they plan on use the de-aging CGI tech for scenes that will be used in a force back scene...perhaps when Luke was in his 40's...isn't Keri Russell in her 40's....hmmmm.
