First off, thanks a lot for making this thread, @DarthBaron. I can see a long, healthy future for it as a sort of watercooler talk discussion following the more meatier updates, as well as discussion about the comic in general. I'll definitely be making regular trips here to answer any and all sorts of questions, as well as to collect feedback on the characters, pacing and the adventure as a whole.
Initially, I wanted to add a bit of dialogue that played into Missy's childhood awe of Jedi Knights, as well as her subsequent disappointment in realizing that Doop doesn't exactly conform to the distorted, idealized, heroic version of the Order that Missy had kept in her head. Something like: "I wanted to meet a Jedi Knight since I was a child... and then I met you. You are, without a doubt, the worst Jedi Knight I've ever met."

I still regret never adding it. It would have done wonders in furthering the characterization of both Doop and Missy.
I'll be adding a link to the discussion thread on the main posts of Knights and Legacy.
I do want to point out that Legends Saresh does not necessarily equal New Saresh, although she does undoubtedly share many of her character traits. She's probably less "evil" than her old counterpart, but she's still intended to be a very gray, morally questionable character. There's a really thick layer of politics going on in the Senate right now, and I'm not ever sure if we'll get to explore all of it by the time we're done with Jun. The key players to look out for would certainly be Saresh, the Chancellor, the Chiss Ambassador (and also wannabe Senator) and the yet unrevealed Senator of Brentaal IV who leads the Loyalist Caucus.

You could always... you know... go FULL LUCAS and "specialize" it.
Yeah Chancellor is definitely a big ball of nope. I especially don't like the fact that he knows what Jun has done on Dantooine. I can't imagine he would be happy about that one bit! In fact it's almost a certain he's going to try to blackmail Jun into doing something. I think we will just have to bite this bullet if we're still planning to continue the ways of the senator.
I had no idea you were a reader, @Grand Master Galen Marek! :D

Why haven't we seen you in the thread before?

I... think I may have communicated that poorly. :D
I actually meant to ask you why didn't we see you in the ORPA thread itself. I know we have lots of lurkers but your post count is just to damn impressive to be a lurker.

I voted Kestrel. She was my favorite character from the original thread. I remember following Lankist's thread religiously right up until the end. I didn't post a lot, but it was pretty amazing even being a small part of it. When I saw this new thread, I was inordinately excited to see that the story was continuing here on the Cantina. I always hoped that somewhere, somehow, I'd get to see Bruce again. ;)

It's a real shame he got all broke although I can understand why. Bruce was straight up OP most times.

I liked Kestrel because she was the only one who played the straight (wo)man in a ragtag band of miscreants. We are certainly taking a long time to get back to the old timers but I honestly like that. It builds a great feeling of anticipation and the fact that Mynock and Kestrel seem to be on separate planets right now instead of paired up really gives off this background urgency. I wonder where Steve is... he owes a lot of good explanations! :D

The Saber-Steve reunion will be so epic.

I am 90% sure @oldbert has a soft spot for Jun. There's your Jun vote!

Pretty great actually! The humor is so damn identical and the charm is still there. :D
However... the tone is a bit different. Where the old adventure read like a fun space western in Star Wars the new one deals more in the politics, the Republic-Empire war and the Force. The scale is a bit bigger which gives you a feel like you're watching LotR in Star Wars and less a space western.

I think the reason why we have this difference is because we have built our heroes to be less neutral this time and more faction based like Darth Saber and especially Jun so @Alamact has to obviously focus on the whole galactic war plotkriff we got going on. Then there's also Grand Admiral Snote and his scheming.

The time between updates was slightly shorter if I remember but @Alamact does some really impressive stuff with the locations and the extras (seriously awesome extras we are getting lately) so it makes the extra wait time worth it. Sequel!Coruscant may just be my favorite planet of them all (with Corellia coming in a close second).

Overall yeah... @Lankist pretty much won the protege lottery.

From what I gather, most of the heroes from the old comic were non-FS? Excluding Master Tyren and Steve of course.

Yeah! However you didn't have Tyren at all. You had Jan (short from Jan Itor) who was the Jedi Knight of the group. He joined the gang on Tython and together with Mynock started the whole holocron mess that got us to the Force freak mutants and the Peace Star.

It seems like @Alamact wanted to flip the script in the sequel and have the anti roster where the Force sensitives (minus Missy) are now the main characters. :D

Sigh, Mr Bland always gets left out.... which is semi-ironically a perfect trait for an agent to have.

Unless you're implying he's Force sensitive and mocking us for not knowing. :D

I meant that more as not being part of the main trio. :D

Nock, Kes and Trooh or Doop, Saber and Red.

Come to think of it @The One Armed Wampa owes us a Jun vote too! Slow and steady wins the race! That's why Jun will win chancellorship in Act 5 and not an Act earlier!
