    Its their loss. When people start talking Star Wars and bitterness rolls out of every few sentences or hides behind every reference to George Lucas ruining things, all I can think is, "get away from me."

    Yeah, it was a miserable, mean spirited piece of journalism. The Guardian has a similar readership in the UK to the NY Times or the Washington Post. They're tough cookies to crack so I guess if JJ can win these people back to Star Wars he's done a good job.

    i cant tell if that guy is serious or not. why go through such lenghts at saying you wont see the film ? its like hes promoting the film at the same time... weird. also this guy is probably a manchild that thinks that we should never ever make new star wars films because it might hurt his emotions ... grow up dude.

    Lucas tinkered up until about a month before release of TPM, from what I remember. When Ep2 came out, the digital projection version, was tinkered with up until the day or 2 before release. The shot of Anakin's robotic hand reaching for Padme's at the wedding was added in in that last week. Similar tinkering went on in Ep3 as well.

    It was a interesting read.
    Maybe the guy is wrong, maybe not, time will tell.
    Everyone has a different taste and opinion, there is still a debate running about the PT. (box-office gross/toy and dvd sales - it was not a failure/flop)
    I have the feeling, that J.J. + K.K. + L.K "bad robot/LFL and Disney so to speak" are succeeding in bringing the magic back.
    Maybe they are able to restore it and preserve it for the whole ST.

    He got some good points and some valid concerns. But I think it's silly to say that he won't go see the movie. He's going to see it. And if he really doesn't go, well, that's just crazy!

    I'am not a journalist, but if I would write a article, I would do a long and good or at least a little research beforehand.
    (He has some interesting points, but he appears to me like a bitter old fan) (maybe he needs a hug and a toy millenium falcon to cheer him up)

    I think he is compensating everybody is is handling his own expectations and just from the facts this looks different, so they try to steer clear, but if one is not open to chage nothing can meet his expectatios and he is more or less aware that he is not open. And this has nothing to do with a movie nobody has ssen.

    Kylo-Ren is a sith wanna be. His lightsaber is crafted of parts there are even wires hanging out of it.

    I would have almost agreed with him until I saw that he liked the Avengers... Ultron was the lamest villain ever!

    I can see what he's saying but obviously I'm still very optimistic... JJ was born to make Star Wars... it's not like his "take" on Star Trek... Star Trek was a Star Wars film dressed up as Star Trek. Even in Super 8 there were references to Star Wars :)
