This has been a popular topic of fan-speculation. If, somehow, word of Finn's defection got out, what's the likelihood that it would lead to more defections? I don't care how thorough the FO indoctrination regimen is, there have to be flaws in it. Finn could hardly be an isolated event. If other stormtroopers heard about Finn, those who are having doubts of their own would be spurred to action rather than let themselves be reconditioned.

 

Does anybody think the TLJ trailer could be an easter egg on the Rogue One Bluray?

 

im talking about the general populace of soldiers...of course they would try to change the minds of brainwashed troopers but that would mean that finn would be able to easily destroy the entire new ship if there is really one

Everything is lining up as we expected for the trailer though. R1 home video April 4th, TLJ teaser a week later at Celebration

 

No way would Disney release the teaser or trailer on a dvd/bluray. No way to keep it hidden. They'll put it online first, then it will be released on home video.

 

There seems to be a lot of chatter on other sites this morning about TLJ Pickups/reshoots starting in London at the start of March.

Also to back them up, it appears that Mark Hamill flew back into London yesterday (see below).

Has anyone got any solid news on this?

 

nope, the bluray is out a month later in Germany.

 

all sites seem to be mentioning it, but i don't think there's anything solid other than Mark being in London.

a youtuber who i refuse to name anymore has put these rumors into a video already and i think says that Shots related to Leia are being messed with.
i won't watch his videos anymore so i can't confirm that the useless tool says it.

If a film maker has an endless budget and time to do re-shoots or pickups if necessary... then they will. nothing to worry about in the slightest. it'll be pickups most likely though.

OK so I just found the video in question and what struck me most was the guy's total inability to pronounce 'Edinburgh'.

I think the Mods are liable to have me hung, drawn and quartered if I even mention his name, let alone link to his video. However, it's the latest video from the guy whose name rhymes with 'Bike Hero'.

In fairness, Americans have a hard time with Edinburgh; what with the rules of spelling and pronunciation and all.

I'm beginning to pick up on some angst here about reshoots. Haven't we learned anything from the past two movies? They're a normal part of the process; and even if they might be extensive, they know what they're doing. It's all good.

 

Agreed! Only to be expected after what happened to Carrie. Nothing to worry about at all. Move along....

 

It's weird because every movie ever has reshoots.
Some are more extensive than others. But unless you hear about Trank-level mishaps or the like, there is 0 reason to panic.

Thor 2 is another example.

 

Yeah, I don't know why a lot was made about reshoots for Rogue One. It happens all the time. I remember back when Episode III was under production they did reshoots of it (I think it was June of '04).
