yeah thats why POTC 5 kind of fell down a bit because, as much as the story tried to expand, it relied to much connecting everyone to each other for literally no reason whatsoever...I think that if they do connect then it should be through story elements similar to R1 and not directly through characters, which is why i look forward to TLJ because it utilizes this while keeping our favorite characters relevant (i hope) .

 

You wouldn't want a standalone trilogy? People always talk about Knights of the Old Republic movies. Maybe something along those lines?

Oh and that Pirates hack was a hoax. The hackers never hacked anything BUT claimed they had The Last Jedi and would leak it exactly like @The Futurition said.

I think a stand alone trilogy is fine, even by what Paul is saying.
He's just saying no Ep XI without a Skywalker.

They could do a KOTR trilogy just no episodic movies.

Thanks, like I said previously, I enjoy talking Star Wars and sharing stuff, It's cool and I'm passionate about it. That being said, I can seriously understand why Disney most definitely do not want this information to really go public. But it has. Torrentfreak, a huge piracy news site that breaks worldwide related news, got an exclusive with the guy who supposedly had/has the copy. This is what he posted. Here's the story and interview.

Well, if you read correctly, he doesn't mention those screenshots in the article does he? he does mention another screenshot but, one to hazy to tell feel free to believe what you'd like though Astromech. I respect that.

I won't say I disagree (this film looks baaaad) but your reaction to it is certainly more... outright than mine.

 

Yeah, what I meant is I don't think they should go with say an episode X, continuing the main saga if Rey is not a Skywalker or Ben dies and not redeemed. It should end with IX in that scenario. Now if Rey is a Skywalker and they have a creative way and good story to continue, then by all means continue with 10 an onwards.
If no more Skywalkers I would be in favor of a new Trilogy telling the story of the Old Republic. That would be very interesting to me.
But for time being a have found myself more excited and looking forward to more the stand alone stories than ep 8 & 9. I wasn't crazy about TFA. I thought it was decent, but the more I think about it, the more disappointment I see and this missed opportunities. I don't like the way a lot of characters were handled etc. I did enjoy Rogue more.

 

Very much agree with ending the episodic movies if there are no Skywalkers.

If they try with a new family, will I still watch? of course but it will lose that Star Wars shine.

 

The PT ended with the only Skywalker now a Vader. So it can end with a dead or still evil Kylo Ren.

If Kylo dies. They could have one or more of these characters with no last name, name their kid Han Skywalker.

 

*Minor Spoilers*

Pablo Hidalgo who is at Comi-Con Chile, being Chilean and all (like me) just confirmed a little earlier, told the crowd at the panel that Luke and Leia will have scenes together in The Last Jedi.

Kind of makes sense since the Vanity Fair behind the scenes footage shows them together on set.

 

That's not technically true; the PT literally ended with Obi-Wan placing Luke Skywalker in the care of Owen & Beru Lars. One Skywalker was evil, while two were just beginning their journeys. The Sequel Trilogy offers the same opportunity; if Ben had a child from a temporary romance when he was younger, or at least before his fall. Or if Rey is a Skywalker, then there's far more possibilities. Or, heck, if Luke doesn't yet have any children, he could still meet someone and conceive at least one kid.

 

That is good to hear. That could end up being one of the most emotional scenes in the entire saga if done right.

Now imagine if they both used the force TOGETHER in a battle situation with Snoke. Skywalker twins using the force! The possibilities!

Or we find out that Luke's Jedi Temple was also a sperm bank and ALL his Jedi students were his children. One of the mothers that had Luke's seed implanted ran away while carrying Rey, but years later was tracked down on Jakku by a bounty hunter and took the mother from Rey.
