    My personal theory since the end of The Clone Wars show and the release of The Force Awakens has been and remains that the Prequel Trilogy set the stage- we saw the decimation of both orders. The Original Trilogy then saw the end of the Sith, and I believe that the Sequel Trilogy will see the end of the Jedi.
    In Eastern philosophy, one can only become whole when they embrace and accept all aspects on oneself.
    Thus, I think Kylo will remain dark and Rey will remain light, but the two will unite to defeat Snoke and bring Balance in the Force, forging something new together.
    The best of both sides, without the prejudices and dogma of the Sith and Jedi institutions.

    But the point still stands. Luke is the only human on Ahch-To until Rey shows up. The random villager that Kylo Ren kills couldn't live there, nor could the others that the KOR killed, without it contradicting a big part of TFA's ending.

    I'm not saying that the KOR can't be in the movie, just that it doesn't look likely outside of a flashback.

    I hope that they reveal more about the KOR soon. either through books, games or movies. They left that little nugget out there and have not touched it since.

    Since J. J. is working on Episode IX, I bet he'll use that movie to bring them back into the forefront. The bad guys are probably going to need reinforcements if Kylo Ren goes renegade in The Last Jedi - which looks likely.
