Of course, I don't expect them to actually do this: it's just a suggestion I came up with in the space of a few minutes.

IX doesn't start shooting until, what, next summer? Talks have likely been had in the nine and a half months since Carrie's unfortunate passing, and even if not, Abrams and Terrio will have had around 9 months to figure something out by the time principal photography starts, which is more than enough time to figure out where to go with it, and it seems a much wiser idea than having RJ edit TLJ to fit around Leia's demise: the film was likely already 25% - 40% edited by the time of her passing.

I trust JJ and RJ, with Terrio, to have worked with the Story Group and Kathleen Kennedy to have figured out the best direction to go, which I personally don't think is seeing Leia die at the end of TLJ.

I have no clue of Disney plans and to be honest I have no clue how to make a movie. All these are speculations.

This is new Ring Theory, this explains how episodes VII, VIII and IX work in the ring.

In TLJ, Rey will have similarities with the story of Luke in ESB, and Kylo will have similarities with the story of Vader/Anakin, but in reverse.

With this, we can guess the story of TLJ.

Therefore you have to find how ep. VII mirrors III...
    And surprise.... that's how...

    The trik is that:
Poe = Anakin, but he's always doing the reverse of what Anakin did in III.
Finn = Obi Wan, but he's always doing the reverse of what Obi Wan (or Sidius, the nemesis of Obi Wan) did in III.

Did anyone notice that at the end of the TV commercial, it said that there maybe be scenes inappropriate for children...did they say this for TFA? I think they may have for Rogue One but not sure if TFA did.

I don't remember TFA in particular, but it's what they do when they're advertising on Disney's TV channels and the film hasn't been rated by the MPAA yet.

So, is it just them CYA or could there be some legitimate scenes that warrant that warning? Not that I wouldn't take my kids but just curious.

I don't think Disney will do anything on par with the immolation scene in Revenge of the Sith, so... Not really, no. It's just a nice way of telling people not to take their infants into the movie that they're unfortunately bound to ignore.

At this point, I'd like to utter a complaint regarding the general state of discussion regarding the TLJ - specifically regarding some Youtube channels. Of course every theory/possible spoiler has to be taken with a grain of salt. But almost every day now, there is a new theory, whether it be regarding: The state of Luke's mind, Rey's parentage, Snoke's deal, new approach to the Force. And yet, before we get the new movie, there is really VERY VERY LITTLE we can work with actually. Like Luke said "This is not going to go the way you think." Based on current information, there is no theory/speculation that would make overwhelming sense. Hence almost all of the theories have big problems with them and that's ok. But I feel like due to this fact there has been a creation of a specific kind of media that deals in rumors and speculations, thus giving the incentive to produce new rumors without actually caring that much about whether they have merit. Seems the only bona fide rumor/speculation outlet is Making Star wars and this platform here.

I have watched YouTube channels and their creators seem to come up within a relatively short time frame with theories that contradict each other and are more click bait than honest projections. Everybody knows Mike Zeroh, but he is just the top of the iceberg. Almost none of them seem to be genuinely concerned with what they actually think might happen in the movie. Hence titles like "will Luke turn to the dark side" etc, when such theories are clearly not viable for mainstream audiences are just designed for entertainment and getting views. For example Star Wars Theory and his leaks. At this point, I'd like to slap that guy. Not only does he post videos based on the same "leaker" that end up contradicting each other, no, he contradicts himself within the scope of any single video. And it doesn't seem to bother him at all. This guy has hundreds of thousands of subscribers, so one would think he would act responsively but no, he just uses this movie to feed his unfounded rumors machine. Of course, nobody forces me to watch. So therefore I have decided not to watch any of the channels that don't state an unequivocal disclaimer for their supposed theory. Instead of "spoiler warnings" they should be giving "huge disclaimers".
All this does is making me nervous and worried about the movie, since some of the theories are pure trash. I also think it is almost impossible to predict the movie (and that's good) but Lucasfilm has made it exceptionally hard to figure it all out. Specifically the last trailer is just a masterwork of misdirections. There will be no leak without them knowingly releasing information. The best speculations come from officially released material like Lego sets, posters and such. And all of those have not shown anything groundbreaking like a lightside character turning to the dark side, or any other of the gritty, clickbaity theories. Because, you know, they are making a movie for hundreds of millions of fans, most of which are casual fans and casual movie goers who want to be reasonably entertained, not shocked or traumatized (like DashStar wants) or have their wettest dreams come true (like StupendousWave wants.)

    @Vink Ren I won't say it doesn't.

But I guess that's - let's say - the first impression. What they want you to think.
But It's a longer conversation, and I'm afraid that's not the right thread. ;)

DJ has a ring which has what looks like a gem of sorts in it, but depending on the angle it also looks like an empty gap, as if a gem has been stolen.

Why does everyone have a ring in this film? Is everyone married - is that all they're trying to get across? - or is there more to it?
