RUMOR General Star Wars: The Last Jedi News & Rumors Thread

Maybe a more literal translation is something like "Last of the Jedi". That way the word in the title is plural but still referring to one person?

I'm no language expert but I know there can be very minor nuances between a direct translation of the words and what something really implies in another language.

 

Has RJ given away a spoiler about a certain scene between two people taking place?

His hand is also shaking in that Spanish cinema ad for TLJ. And his eyes are gone kinda cloudy blue and tiny pupils. Usually an early tell for parksinsons

 

Yes, I think RJ has clearly confirmed this. Only other possibility is deleted scene or magazine cover shoot, but in that second case, I don't think he would have said "filming".

 

Hummm... I think that the tittle just works in english, the ambiguous sense of it.

Revenge Of The Sith also was translated in plural here in Brasil:

A Vingança dos Sith.

It occurred to me how Luke gets to the point of "I've seen raw power like this before. It didn't scare me enough then. It DOES now". Where we see Rey "reaching out" with her eyes closed It appears to me that that is the moment where she splits the rocks. I'm guessing that she is not training yet. Luke is just testing her to see how powerful she is. Maybe this is what happens in the first few minutes between them where it picks up from the ending of TFA.

I guess it's all just speculation on my part

 

He’s been shaky for a while now; I first noticed it during the Celebration livestreams earlier this year. It could be an early tell of Parkinson’s, or something similar, but it could also be plenty of other things, so I wouldn’t take that line of thought just yet.

I mean, it could seriously be as simple as an anxiety or shakiness which was agitated by the unfortunate loss of Carrie less than 12 months ago.

Whatever it is, may the Force be with him. We need more people like Mark Hamill in the world.

 

I saw his hand shaking too. My hope was.. it was just part of the act.

 

I believe that moment is definitely part of the act. I noticed it recently in his interview with Ellen. Watch his hands. It seems like his hands shake unless he closes them into loose fists.

Yea, I see what you are saying. We have to face reality. Our favorite stars are not in their 20's anymore. When I think of them, that is what I picture in my mind (myself included, lol).. He is 66 and could just age and the Essential Tremor.

 

There are people whose hands have a natural tremor that is not necessarily indicative of the early onset of a more serious neurological problem. Essential or kinetic tremor is such a condition that I have along with other family members in which being otherwise calm my hands tremble unless I grip something, and none of my family has developed Parkinson’s. Just putting it out there that I wouldn’t necessarily assume it’s a sign he has or is developing Parkinson’s.

I agree, my youngest sister was perfectly healthy and had tremors in her hands. It is just something I noticed in Mark and put it into the back of my head till it was posted about last night.

I got mine, but I am pretty tired and a trip to London wouldn't do me any good right now.

 

Awe come one now, Grab a Monster Drink and start flapping your arms.

 

I'd get my big self up and run to the coast and swim the Atlantic to the channel if I had to. Or.. update my passport and kiss the wife goodbye for the week.

 

As for Mark - Ugh... You guys got me worried, but I think the more reasonable thing to assume is that it's just his age (maybe mixed with stress)...

Check out the interview below. Lots of gesturing and his hands don't look alarmingly shaky to me.
