but yeah.. that red reflection could be just about anything (including his saber)

another thing to bear in mind is that even if that is Ben facing them with his saber lit.. he may not be part of the actual shot they are getting. the magic of movie making.. they could be interacting with an out-of-shot Adam holding a red prop just so that they know where their eyes should be.

..and it could also be a reflection from a spurious piece of set equipment because that shot is from the BTS camera

 

Huh? Then why don't you see Kylo? This isn'y even necessarily during the filming of a shot... this could be in between takes and JJ is talking to them. If the BTS camera guy... meaning a different camera than the one shooting the film, used for PR and the BTS segments, that camera can pick up all sorts of stuff like tripods and lighting and boom mics. The red reflection on 3PO may not even show up in the actual movie shot.

 

The 3PO costume in real life, never gets that shiny and if it did you would see people that are not supposed to be seen on the costume. So they have to painstakingly crop out the people that can be seen on the costume. @DjChubakka

 

Also the expressions can just be them listening to the director.

They wouldn't do that for a BTS shot unless they really wanted the shot but didn't want to give anything away. Why do SFX or retouching on BTS? They can just edit it. Also, 3PO is often very shiny, not sure they need to retouch his skin in every shot. That would be nuts.

 

Again, if that's a real life shot, why would just the one thing be reflective? The lights would bounce around. You would see so much more of the set

 

It's one surface small surface on 3POs face, which isn't a mirror... there's tons of things being reflected, but it's in shadow... lights would be the most obvious. it's a split second, what do you expect to see? I'm not saying it's not Kylo's saber. I'm just saying it's a huge jump to insist it is.

I am assuming the blockade runner surrounded by trees has been discussed? That’s what it looks like but the scale looks weird.

Do you guys think they’ll do a midnight release event for Triple Force Friday like they did for TFA, RO, and TLJ? Toys R Us was the main store that did this and with it gone in the US, the only place that I could see them doing it now would be Target.

 

I know that the midnight release gimmick is still happening. Read that in many places.

Wal-mart could jump in to grab some of the toy business TRUS had in TFF...are they not already a Force Friday store? A ton of Wal-Marts are 24 hours, so it’s minimal work for them (some overtime cashiers, security, and stockers).

Best-Buy might grab some October business like that.

LFL, Disney, and Hasbro surely hate to see Toys R Us go, but they’ve likely spent the last year building back business lost at TRUS by increasing sales to local or regional retailers.

Texas has a chain of Target-type stores, and I’m pretty sure Ohio/Michigan do as well. California probably has a similar retailer discount volume retailer like Target.

They still have “Roses” in the Southern United States, which is not as nice as Wal-mart, much less Target.

I know Hasbro is not the only toy company on TFF, but they are one of the biggest, so just using them as an example.

Big comic stores and toy stores may get in on the action.

I’m guessing the retailer list will be finalized and released in early September.

This is the last one for awhile, so I’m sure they’ll make it count. I get why people enjoy it, the benefits to Disney/LFL, and why stores do it, but it’s never been my thing. I’m interested to see how much 6 inch black series figures we get that aren’t getting 3.75 releases.

 

Toys R Us was always where I lined up at midnight for Force a Friday, but Walmart and Target participated too and I’d usually stop in there to see the aftermath. Guess I’ll pick one of those this time, most likely Target. I think the Disney stores do it too, and usually have some exclusives. If you don’t want to go out, you can always use Amazon, but it’s just more fun to join the revelry in person.

 

The Disney stores are at malls, very often, not usually with outside access, but again, the way malls are dying, I bet they’ll open one door closest to Disney store and just force people into only going that way (no pun intended).

 

I think they still open at midnight, or maybe they just opened a few hours early. Hard to remember since I never went to those. Their selection was always less.

Closer to Force Friday there will be lists of which stores will have different exclusives. Toys R Us used to give out posters too.

I usually only grab a figure or two. It’s still fun just to be there. I hope they release a 6” Black Series figure of Zorri Bliss. Great looking costume and helmet!

 

The current rumors for TROS Black Series figures coming out on Triple Force Friday are Rey with D-O, Kylo Ren, a First Order Stormtrooper, and a Sith Trooper, but I’d be shocked if we didn’t got Zorri in the wave after that. I’ve never really gotten into Black Series figures (so far I only own Darth Vader, Kylo Ren from TLJ, and Alden Ehrenreich Han Solo), but I think that for this movie, I’m going to try to collect every single one!

I really wish that I could’ve made it to one of the Toys R Us midnight events. I did go there during the last Force Friday and was able to pick up a leftover poster they had from the previous night and I still have it on my wall to this day! I really hope that one of these other places have an akin event, if only for the experience and also to get some cool exclusives on top of the new merch.

For the last year, there’s been small talk about a character based around the Thieve’s Quarter of Kijimi that appears to be an adversary of Zorri Bliss and our heroes. The details are sparse on this character at this time as is the importance. Right now, my guess is the character’s role is somewhere around the size is Unkar Plutt in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Everyone that has seen this new character has described him as Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy but with cybernetic implants. “Cyborg Drax” is he’s referred to off the cuff.

On Kijimi we have been told there’s a huge Stormtrooper battalion and some Snowtroopers in that mix. We believe the heat comes down on the snow dusted location and Zorri helps the heroes escape. Our assumption, which is circumstantial, makes me think Cyborg Drax rats them out Garindan style and he’s a First Order snitch or agent of some kind. He appears to be the obstacle the heroes have to deal with on their way toward the MacGuffin.
