    Richard E. Grant: "The big character plot twist [will surprise people the most about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker] that I had no idea would be coming. Um...and I'm assuming it's in the final movie which I haven't seen it [yet], but it made total emotional sense and story sense and I thought that was really smart." "I think it's an incredible thing to take something that began with the first movie in 1977 and nine movies later reach a conclusion [and] resolution. It runs the risk of the Game of Thrones syndrome where by there's no way that you can please all of the people all of the time because people are so emotionally invested in the story that, you know, with the movie they are going to see may not be the movie that they have in their heads to see, but for a four decade long fan as I am, I thought it pulled off that feat incredibly."     There seems to be soo much going on. Loads of totally different locations, a fair few new plot points, some big chunks of narrative to explain both new and old and that's just from the few bits we've seen. However the films runtime is actually the shortest out of all nine.

    I don't know whether to be concerned or just outright giddy lol

    Not that is a direct prof, of course...
    But the tone and the things she says in this interview, they really make me believe that even the
    JP's leaks were part of the marketing campaign.

    They needed to generate some buzz. Because it's not that there was that much...

    However, his source, imo, worked on behalf of LF and Disney.
    And of course, if so, I won't be surprised if the well is also properly and cleverly poisoned.

    How much and what exactly might be "poisoned" that I don't know.
    But Rey's backstory may be a good candidate, the only thing they really kept lock.

    Man... they gave a green light to TLJ. And I don't wanna say that one has to dislike that movie.
    Kudos to those who did.
    But... LF and Disney, they surely didn't foresee the backlash coming.
    So it won't be the first time that they do not "understand" the taste of at least a segment of the star wars fans.
