Based on the cloak he's wearing, I think it's Bail Organa... Would be great if we're shown the early beginnings of both the Empire and the Rebellion!

    Also, "Did we win?" :D

Bail would be cool. The review of the episode on this site speculated Cassian Andor, which certainly would make sense if they want to tie all these series together.

Cassian Andor was like 7 years old at this point though...

are we gonna talk about Wrecker banging his head and muttering, “good soldiers....follow orders....” That is foreshadowing people. I think Wrecker banged his hard hard enough so that chip of his is now affective. To be fair, I didn’t like the way this happened. Him banging his head and all. Seemed silly, but it will make for a great few episodes later on

How about Gerrera. He is everywhere when it comes to leading a rebellion against this newly founded empire. A likely candidate for sure.

They've been beating us over the head with it (pardon the pun). Multiple times he has been saying his head hurts.

Hmmm. I wonder what this means for Wrecker now that the dialogue I mentioned was muttered...

A possibility for sure, but personally, I think it's someone we haven't seen in this series yet - otherwise, why such secrecy?
I actually just rewatched the episode again, and have a completely different theory -what if it's not one of the good guys (Bail Organa, Saw Gerrera, Rex, etc.), but rather some kind of villain??? The music when they showed the holo felt somehow ominous and a bit sinister... Could it be....
    MAUL???

Or maybe I'm just overthinking things :D

That was my early thought, too, but...
Maul was the Martez' enemy last time we saw them, so... probably not?

I like Bail Organa or a new character, myself, but... if it was a new, previously unseen character, then it wouldn't be much point in disguising their appearance/identity, so, probably not that. My guess is Bail or Saw.

Yeah the music was rather intense. But these sisters are the sister we got in CW S7. They were more of the “good guys.” Well, kinda. They were trying to survive in a world where they had disadvantages. This leads me to think that they wouldn’t deal with someone with bad intentions. We haven’t seen Rex yet and he is seen in the trailer. Either Rex or Saw for sure.

I'm a sucker for the early days of the Rebellion stuff, but I agree here; the BB would work better if they're allowed to remain their own thing. I would not be against them joining forces with some Rebels for a mission or two, however.

I've been loving Cid too! It's nice to have a different type of Trandoshian. No need for a discount Bossk.

Wrecker only said "Good soldiers". The full phrase was said by Crosshair in his head. I assume Wrecker, at some point, will say "Good soldiers...follow orders" to complete the turn to the Empire (at least for a short time).

From what I remember Sam Wittwer denied being in the first season of the show, while Katie Sackhoff dabbled around the topic when asked about her possible involvement. I don't think Sam would have been that clear with his answer had been involved in some capacity.

I do agree that it's not someone we've seen. Making the person in the hologram be Saw Gerrera would be absurd: not surprising at all.

His first mission was on Onderon where he killed a Lasat mercinary, who worked for Saw.

I know there would need to be stormtroopers, but what if Kallus was a special unit stormtrooper that we've seen in Replacements? Perhaps he'd join the Empire in the show's near future and eventually fight on Onderon, with the Bad Batch there too.

I will stick with what was the first thing on my mind when I saw the holo - I still think it's Bail Organa.

I watched episode 6 with my friend! It was a good episode, I guess. Things are developing for Wrecker, which is nice. Hopefully the show will follow up on Wrecker and his chip. I wasn't a fan of our two guest appearances for the week, but I just don't like them in general. ...I may or may not have been rooting for one of them them to fall into the lava the entire episode...

Echo was a standout this time around, and I love him, so it's great. I'm also illogically annoyed at the team for using the battle droids to save the day - I had written up a very similar idea about it in my ST revisions, so I felt like Star Wars was "stealing" my idea.* My friend pointed out that it was a good thing that Lucasfilm and I were on the same wavelength though, so I'll take the compliment.

Lastly, the premise. This episode's premise/set-up did nothing to assuage the fears I have about it becoming Mando-lite. And I don't think the next episode will either, since the crew still needs money, and this job didn't work out. I don't think the rest of the series will be like this, but I also don't feel like this was the show promised me. I felt like I was promised a psychological - almost political - action-thriller show about a group of clones on the run with a little girl, while the Kaminoans and the Empire politick for power and survival.** What I've gotten past Episode 2 hasn't really been that, with the potential exception of Fennec Shand. It's been a lot like the Mandalorian, and I don't want that. (Not because Mando is bad, but because Mando already occupies that space. Give me something different.)
I definitely don't think the entire show will be like this, but I'm looking forward to moving on beyond these types of episodes.

Overall, my complaints with TBB now aren't about quality, because that's top notch. It's about emotional engagement. I'm not as emotionally engaged as I feel like the show wants me to be. I've seen it with Star Wars already, and I sort of want something new and different. And something about the show feels like it's working against itself. But maybe that's just me.

*During the climax of TROS' ground battle on Naboo, battle droids would activate and attack Sith Alchemy-created monsters to save the day, as a reversal of TPM's fight between the Gungans and the battle droids.
**The show would feature the crew mostly on the run, with Crosshair hunting them down, until they can figure out a way to undo the chip on a mass scale. (Crosshair wouldn't always be beaten, but they could escape from him from time-to-time, and then start developing anti-Crosshair strategies. This would develop into an episode or two where Tech reveals he's created strategies for defeating all of them, and those strategies get into the wrong hands. This wouldn't be too different from the Justice League: Doom movie, which in turn is based off of the Justice League: Tower of Babel story.) From there, they'd go back to Kamino and try to undo the chip's programming on the planet-based Clone Troopers before moving to other planets. Unfortunately, it takes time, and the Stormtrooper project would be well on its way. The first season would end with the Stormtroopers mass executing the Clones on Kamino, and it is all the Bad Batch (and a few survivors and Kaminoan scientists) can do to escape.

Just finished ep.7 "Battle Scars". It's a strong episode, building on the themes and troubles we've seen thus far. I especially like that when the BB fails a mission (last episode) it has consequense for future episodes; this is Rebels level writing, compared to TCW where stuff rarely had consequence.

The dianoga was a bit pointless. I assume that this was just a taster and it will come back for a more involved and relevant appearance down the road.

Wrecker & Omega's relationship is so very sweet. Hit's me right in my coal black, puss-dripping heart! Omega is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite SW characters, and she very much reminds me of something/someone, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what. Brillinat stuff.

I was slightly disapointed by the inhibitory chip resolution. It seemed like this was set up to be a major think this season, but they resolved that in a single episode with not much trouble, mid-way through the season. It's difficult to see how this plot thread could gain renewed relevance now (unless there turns out to be a chip-problem with Omega later on, 'cause the gang totally did NOT scan her for whatever stupid reason), and I thought it was all a bit too easy and the inhibitor chip thingy ended up being a pretty cast-away plot point. That said, what they did with the story beat was effective enough and quite emotional; not at all bad, just not as grand a thing as I had hoped for.

    Also, Cid is great!

Nah, just dramatic tension. Effortlessly walking through that wreckage would be boring. So they jazzed it up. Wrecker's the one that threatens our team later on, so he's the one almost munched. It reminds us of the bonds that'll get tested.

My only hang-up is I’m hoping they connect the dots a bit with Rex’s characterization. Here, he seems pretty gung-ho for resisting the Empire. When he’s reestablished in Rebels though, he has absolutely no interest in any sort of rebellion. It’s presented like he’d never gotten involved.

“You know, I’ve out served my purpose for that kind of fighting, I’m afraid. After the war, I questioned the point of the whole thing. All those men died and for what?”
“Like I said, our war’s over, kid. Don’t much care to get mixed up in another.”

I guess something major happens to disillusion him at some point. Curious to see if they bother buttoning that up.

I like the Wrecker-Omega relationship too. She has a special relationship with Hunter as well. She's interacted with Echo a bit over the bow, but she really hasn't gotten under Tech's skin yet. We need some of that!

I was relieved we got the inhibitor chip thing out of the way. The foreshadowing with Wrecker was starting to make me roll my eyes!

I keep wondering just exactly what "medical assistant"-y things Omega was doing on Kamino...just how much does she know about chips and clone production and such? Surely that knowledge is at least part if not all of why she's got a bounty on her.

I loved the reference to the Jedi: Fallen Order junk planet where it all began for Cal. <3 (Baby Cal is around somewhere on Bracca and I need to know he's okay! Maybe he knows Rex and let him borrow that poncho. ;)) I thought the Rex-in-the-corner-with-a-hood-on was a tribute to Aragorn in Bree. Was that dianoga supposed to be a full-grown one or something? Because it made the one in ANH look kinda anemic. Maybe they grow as big as their environment lets them.

Was half expecting for Cal Kestis to show up. I guess we're getting Crosshair next week. ;)

Episode 7 is quite possibly my 2nd favourite one, after the pilot. This series is shaping up to be really darn good.
