OK, now THIS is what a "filler episode" looks like.

No new thoughts, but my friend and I are still watching and enjoying the season! We're both really hoping for a second season. And while both shows do the whole "Lone Wolf and Cub" thing well, we're happier with (and more excited about the future of) TBB than we are with Mando at the moment.

Well, episode 11 certainly took us for an unexpected turn. I'm a fan of the subject matter and its young central character, so I found it interesting. This had Filoni's fingerprints all over it. It was a nice change of pace.

Wikipedia is your friend :) The BB series article has a detailed summary of each episode. If you want even more details, try Wookiepedia where you'll find a separate article for each episode.

Me too! It's gonna be interesting to watch a few of these back-to-back to see how binge-able the show is :)

Taa isn’t dead they confirm it in the episode by calling it an attempted assination. Not a murder

Man, that’s an awful lot of faith to believe Crosshair would headshot the guy without killing him. No trust falls needed in that office :D

Devil's deal was such a good episode, I could watch the Syndulla family for further 20 minutes.

I'm really enjoying how The Bad Batch works as a sort of sequel to TCW, prequel to Rebels, but...

Honestly, I wouldn't have minded if it was just a series of vignettes without an overarching crew of the Bad Batch themselves. Would make the constant stream of cameos feel less awkward, if the show was just built around new protagonists per arc.

I agree honestly. It’s kinda strange that this obscure group of clones has already met Tarkin, Saw Gerrera, Bib Fortuna, Fennec Shand, Cad Bane, the Martez Sisters and almost half of the main Rebels cast. Ironically, Rebels had a similar problem with frequent guest appearances but I feel like the main characters in that show at least stood on their own. Other than Hunter and Omega, the Bad Batch characters have not progressed much beyond being the walking archetypes that they were when we first met them.

I think this show could have benefited from following a Clone Wars structure. An anthology series of arcs where we follow different characters dealing with the rise of the Empire in different ways. That story with the Bad Batch working together with the Separatist Senator could have been a really interesting arc instead of a rushed single episode that does nothing with the given premise.

All of that being said, I don’t want to clog up this thread with my criticisms about the show. I have plenty of positives about this last episode!
It was great seeing Hera again! They definitely did a better job at making Vanessa Marshal’s voice sounds younger than they did with Kanan/Caleb. It was also cool hearing Kevin Kiner incorporating her motif into this show as well. Words cannot describe how excited I was to hear and see Chopper again as well!

It was also cool to see Cham Syndulla during such an interesting point in time. He’s no longer fighting the Separatists but he’s not fighting the Empire yet either. He clearly shares Gobi’s misgivings about the Empire but he also desires peace for the people of Ryloth. His tenuous relationship with Orn Free Taa from all the way back in Season One of TCW is continued here as well.

I believe that this is the first time we’ve seen Cham’s wife/Hera’s mom in the flesh. I have a bad feeling about her fate in next week’s episode considering how she’s not present in later stories featuring the Syndullas. This could be what leads Cham to fight against the Imperials. And while I’m talking about the Syndullas, it was cool seeing their house again and with the wrecked Y-Wing in front.

Captain Howzer was a cool new clone character introduced in this episode. He seems to have retained his individuality and camaraderie with Cham, so I wonder if he’s one of the few clones whose inhibitor chip didn’t activate. I think he’ll end up defecting and helping Cham. Maybe he’ll be one of his freedom fighters or perhaps he’ll go on to join The Bad Batch?

From the little we’ve seen of him, Admiral Rampart is quickly becoming one of my favorite Imperial characters. With some exceptions like Yularen, Thrawn and Tarkin, Imperial officers seem to be few and far between. He had an unwavering sense of calm and seemed to be two steps ahead of the characters in this episode.

Also, I’ve gotta say that Hera and Omega becoming friends was so cute. :p

I lost interest in the show a couple episodes ago but this episode got me hooked again. I’m not sure if this surpasses the first episode but it was certainly one of the best episodes so far this season!

Is this series not holding the Cantina's attention? I ask because a new episode dropped overnight and there's been zero talk (that I can find) of it here. Strikes me as odd that new SW content from a D+ series drops and no one mentions anything. I'm not making a statement; just an observation and a question.

Personally, I like TBB but it's by no means my fav and I love new content so therefore I'll promptly watch. But I'm not getting that vibe from the boards on this show. That said -- and I'm thinking out loud -- is this show spinning its wheels a bit? Did this not hit the fanbase in the sweet spot? Is the story or characters not compelling? Are folks simply not invested? Am I just overthinking things? Curious.....

can’t speak for others but I love TBB. The music and animation is top drawer. I think the underlying morality is good and new characters that we don’t know how they’re journey ends is more than keeping my attention
