    There are some mysteries that should remain so. For instance, in Solo they depict the Kissel Run and its less exciting than I imagined when Han mentions it in ANH. I preferred when the Kissel Run was left to our imagination.

    Its like the scene in JAWS when Quint tells the story of the men in the water with the sharks and you can see it in your mind, and are terrified. Now to make a movie prequel called JAWS: Men Go Into The Water, and try to show what happened would ruin that scene in the original JAWS.

    Yeah, I've not been sold on it either since I first heard it the other month. Lucas has said for decades Yoda's species would remain a mystery.

    To be fair, though... Lucas also said, for decades, that there would never be a sequel trilogy. Our beloved creator changes his mind quite a lot :)

    I don’t see how Ep 1 of TM has destroyed the mystery of Yoda species. We have already seen others of Yoda’s species. The mystique of the species can still be there and perhaps it even expanded on by seeing another in a much earlier stage of life than seen before.
