Who here wants a series with tons of lightsaber action? Legions of jedi vs hordes of sith. some visual ecstasy.

Nah, that sounds boring to me. I'd rather have a few meaningful duels between characters I care about than constant battles between dozens or more nameless goons. For me it's story content and character moments before visual spectacle every time. But to each their own :)

Yes, lightsabers and battles, but not like two medieval armies crushing together on the battlefield the entire time...I want a story...with centralized characters that we've known or have read about in the past.

I don't want a bunch of unknowns that are stars of the show, but previously established characters from the novels that we can relate to or even care about, and then add in their unknown friends/accomplices, but as I said...give me a story first...with lightsabers. :)

You've read my mind. While i'm an OT lover FIRST, I miss the plentiful Jedi, the Sith threat, and the lightsabers from the PT...THAT'S what's best about the PT in my mind, and it's absence saddens me also.

Well none in particular, really. I just expect that they'll honestly pick from the plethora of Legends characters that have previously been established and write their backstories to fit into the new canon. Honestly, I expect them to do this, because it MAY generate an interest in fans like yourself to pick up "X" Legends novel that "X" character was in so you can read about some of their other adventures.

But either way, if you've never read that novel, they're still going to be new characters to you no matter what! :)

I prefer the lightsaber duels of the OT and ST. Especially the one of TFA. Kylo vs Rey/Fin and Vader vs Luke (ROTJ) are my favorite duels. They have emotion and actual fighting to it. I don't need the PT style of lightsaber dueling. It's dancing and they don't even try to hit each other.

Less is more btw. I'm satisfied with one lightsaber battle per movie. 1vs1. As long as it is made correctly of course.

I‘d like their series to be set in the unknown regions during an all out war of the past containing the Jedi vs KOR and Sith vs KOR and i like those fights to be a mix of all styles. btw are there „jedi“ under a different name in the unknown regions?...

I don't disagree, it's my favorite ending, that said it just over the top at times.

Big O has a great ending one of the top on my list. Death Note. High school of the Dead kind of just ended so that one cant count yet.

I'd take just a couple of kick ass duels in each film, like what we saw in TPM or Empire. I love that scene when the door opens, the Duel of the Fates blares out and standing there is Darth Maul. That scene was awesome.

This. The idea of armies of lightsaber wielders will never win me over... ;) I could be in the minory here, but I don't like those early The Old Republic cinematics. The choreography always looked iffy (overly choreographed, like something from a fan film) and the one with dozens of Sith and Jedi going at each other was so incredibly cheesy... :p But as Angelman said, to each their own. I get that there are people who like it.

I'll take any lightsaber battle of the SWTOR cinematics anyday.

I'm still of a mind that these films may deal with an ancient era of the Star Wars galaxy. I know that one of hosts of the Resistance Broadcast said that the Republic had stood for 1,000 years. But I think that may have been a misquote and it was referencing Obi-Wan's monologue about the Jedi and the Force from ANH, where he said that "for over a thousand generations the Jedi were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic". If we regard a generation as between 20 and 30 years, that could mean that the Jedi Order stood for over 25,000 years.

For me? I'm interested in those ancient origins of the Jedi. I'm interested in the Prime Jedi who was subtly hinted at on Ahch-To. I'm interested in the schism between the Jedi and the faction that would eventually become the Sith. And I'm curious about how they created the first lightsaber. Starting there seems like interesting stuff, and maybe by the end of the Benioff & Weiss series we can get that kind of a pitched Jedi vs Sith battle that a lot of fans have dreamt about for years.

    And more on this front...
How did the Jedi form the bond with the kyber crystals? It seems like fertile ground for Benioff & Weiss.
