In one of his D23 intrrviews, John Boyega gave a clue as to the nature of those Star Destroyers, but I won't say anything more.

 

I thought it was cool. What didn't you like?

"the sky full of Death Stars" (or something to that effect). I, however, believe he might simply have misspoken, meaning "Star Destroyers". (Or else, LFL would probably not have allowed the clip to get out).

 

I had the same reaction. Her face looks more gaunt and her eyes look strange.

Almost sure thst Dark Rey is from a force vision or some kind of test like Luke in TESB.

Looks like they are fighting on Death Star I trench (could be Death Star II trench if designed similarly).

For the new video and all the thread...

 

Amazes me that in less then 2 minutes and 30 seconds of footage how little they have actually shared with us, yet we think so much. The 2 minutes and 30 seconds is that the trailer from Celebration footage starts at the 10 second mark (and 1st minute is Rey in the dessert then joined by what could be Kylo TIE) ends at the 158 mark. Then this new footage starts at the 117 mark and ends at 145 mark. This doesnt even include blank space for text and the like.

 

Love the hype machine. I don't want anything given away. Can theorize to our hearts content.

 

Am I the only one who thinks the first part of the trailer felt out of place and kinda fan made? The TROS footage was cool, even though it didn't really excite me that much.

 

Not in terms of it was video showed to hype a Disney Expo crowd. It's a form "trailer" but I doubt it'll be in theaters.

 

I just don't feel like the Resistance would care about painting red stripes on them haha. But cool theory. Plus the red storm troopers have to have a sweet looking ride to match their outfits. This would kind of make sense.

 

I am starting to think that it may go the other way. As far as we know the Resistance has been totally decimated and the Republic is not more.

Therefore it could make sense that they are trying to gain that fleet. And that they succeed in that,

Ti rephrase the FO and the Resistance they are both trying to obtain that fleet but the resistance wins. That how one can have a balanced battle for the movie finale. Otherwise the FO would be unbeatable.

How Sidius comes into play, that’s the question. But what if what he really wants is to balance the powers of the two sides... so they can kill each other?

 

I can kinda agree with the first part, it had the same vibe as the Star Wars: Always piece that Topher Grace dropped earlier this year. But it's clear that this entire marketing campaign is gonna be them driving home the fact that this is the end of this 40+ year journey, and for that reason I can't really say it's out of place.

 

A Reddit user was able to filter out Vaders breathing, and you can clearly someone say the word 'Destroy'

 

One thing that isn't up for debate: This movie is going to be gorgeous.

I am very excited about everything, tbh.

That he was supposed to be there at the set "the DAY" they filmed Daisy like that, which majorly hints it's a short sequence in the movie - aka a force vision - and not a major plot point, which is a shame as it looks brilliant
