the upcoming 8-part Doctor Who spin-off from author Patrick Ness. We know it's set at Coal Hill School and focuses on youngsters, but not much more than that.

Greg Austin will be playing a character called Charlie. The British actor is best known for portraying Gordon Selfridge in Mr. Selfridge, and has also popped up in Law And Order: UK. His online CV says he can play any age between 16 and 25, so he could feasibly be a pupil or a teacher in Class.

On top of confirming his own involvement in the show, Austin also revealed that the first episode is set to be directed by Ed Bazalgette of Doctor Who series 9's The Girl Who Died and The Woman Who Lived. Mr Bazalgette has also helmed instalments of Poldark, Vera, and Houdini And Doyle.
