    It sounds snide and spoiled but I really hate the last two weeks most of all.

    I've seen all I want to see now (before seeing the film), I got an idea of what I am walking into. The fun crazy speculation period is over (my favorite remains that Max von Sydow was playing Lobot, because that would have kicked butt). The end of the mystery is just there, it's like seeing all the presents wrapped under the tree, but you can't open them yet.

    That perfect Star Wars movie in your head is gone now, but the proper replacement for it is still weeks away.

    And now I see it everywhere, book stores, toy stores, shopping malls, on my TV, on my cell phone, even my wife and kids know the names "Rey" and "Finn" now, names we bandied around here for months, discussing what little we knew of them.

    The best moment now is when the lights go down and it just flashes on the screen.

    I know that I've successfully converted my students to Star Wars fans, as one came in to class this morning and said, "We can now say that we'll see "The Force Awakens" this month." My mission is complete. ;)
