Han, Rey, Finn and Gleeson Character Leaked Images?

The idea that Han and Chewy randomly swallow up the Falcon, or Rey randomly steals the Falcon is plain stupid. MSW may have overall good info, but the speculation they give never makes sense.

 

No, it doesn't mean that DG won't have a different/true identity...but it DOES mean that if DG does have such an identity that the reddit poster in question had no real knowledge of such an identity and was still spouting bantha poodoo and lucked out *if* DG turns out to be Luke's son. Because the reddit poster in question specifically said that DG's character was in one scene in which he was a hologram and was ID'd in that scene as Luke's son...he said nothing about DG being a general or a FO officer or having a secret FO identity or anything remotely like that. So the reddit poster was full of it.

DG could still be a secret good guy or be related to Luke or what/whoever. I doubt it, but it could still happen.

 

Agreed, perhaps his sources are good but the conclusions they reach are ridiculous.

 

Pretty sure we are in complete agreement... you are preaching to the choir!

But let's face it, with all of the Star Wars material out there and so many knowledgeable fans pouring over all the different potential story lines, some lucky sap is likely going to guess the real plot/characters... and then probably brag about how they knew all along. MSW or otherwise...

 

what if the interior of millenium falcon photo is actually a behind the scenes vanity fair photo and the gleeson photo was fake and it took 6 months to render on photoshop and after effects ?

I suspect that MSW does have some (albeit very incomplete) real info. Yet, I agree with man that his speculation doesn't always seem well thought out. My guess is Finn, points out one ship that's closer and either it gets destroyed or Rey knows exactly where she's heading to (the Falcon).

 

More confirmation that Rey is the new Luke of the ST.

I know, it's possible that "General" is just a codename for someone. I'm probably not on point, but I thought I'd just bring it up considering as we have a bit more info on Gleeson.

Perhaps he's a general and his first name is simply "Major"? Kidding of course.

To me this all goes back to the rumors from a while ago of Gleeson playing a "Napoleonic-like" character. It could be possible that he starts the film at the rank of Major and then is promoted (either by Snoke or himself, whatever) to General at some point.

I needn't remind you that Captain Piett became Admiral Piett simply because Vader was pissed off at someone else.

 

He's clone Palpatine!!!!......... Oh God I hope not.

Maybe his character is inspired by Grand Admiral Thrawn

Han is the Obi-Wan functional equivalent and Rey is the Luke equivalent. Han isn't just the Han from Episodes IV-VI anymore.

 

What is Finn?

 

Leia, if she escaped with the droids from the Tantive IV at the start of Star Wars (1977). Vader identified Leia as a traitor to the Empire. Leia temporarily had and used the Lightsaber in Splinter Of The Mind's Eye, the (not-canon) "sequel" to Star Wars (1977) and fought Vader.

Same guy that wrote that comic many decades ago (Alan Dean Foster) is writing the novelization of The Force Awakens.

 

I don't think we can make such 1 to 1 correlations between these new characters and the old ones. I hope not, at least.

 

Not sure about rank in the SW Universe, but in the US Army, the ranks of Major, and Major General, are two very different ranks.

The rank structure from Major on up to Major General is- Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, Brigadier General (1 Star General), then Major General (2 Star General). A Major is only a paygrade O-4, a Major General is paygrade O-8.

Most officers with the rank of Major will never become a General, Let alone a 2 star Major General. For those who do, the time it takes to progress through the officer ranks and the 4 promotions that are required to go from Major, to Major General, is around 15 years.

The two ranks can be confusing, because they both contain the word/title Major.

If the rank structure in the SW Universe roughly follows that of the US Army as well as other branches of the service, then the two ranks are indeed quite different.
