Han, Rey, Finn and Gleeson Character Leaked Images?

Not trying to focus on a dark aspect (nor do I subscribe to the "Major Whosits" being Gleeson's possible "General", simply playing Devil's advocate here ), but couldn't there possibly be some swift battlefield promotions due to casualties within the commanding ranks? Or possibly even a purge.

Just toying around here. In history it's been shown that the more hands-on maniacal leaders will at times thin out the ranks and promote junior officers in order to cement their allegiance. Sometimes it's to try and force them to live up to a certain 'standard' of the rank or face public shame. I seem to recall Hitler tried both a time or two.

 

I'm hoping Finn and Rey are on equal footing as far as character importance goes. If they aren't, you risk belittling either women or black people. I don't ever think race and gender should be an issue, but here in the good ol' USA the media seems to want to start a race war so they will take anythin and run with it.

 

Yes, I think those are definite possibilities. Battlefield commissions and promotions happen in the real-world military, so I'd say they are quite possible in the new SW Universe as well.

And of course, there are purges. TESB definitely had that Stalin-like purge vibe going on with all the officers Vader summarily executes.

I could see the Gleeson character as an officer who is advanced in rank far quicker than is normal because of either of those reasons, and being already young and somewhat green for his existing rank, goes off the deep end of wielding too much power when he suddenly finds himself a General. He compensates for his lack of experience, with sheer brutality in all actions he undertakes.

Could make for one dangerous badass bad guy.

 

I think his age isn't a big deal for his rank. If he proved himself a military genius the rank would have come swiftly. Again I am thinking that he will be a Thrawn type character: military genius and brutally effective, but not insane.

 

Just like a typical Han Solo would act & say. Watch yourself Finn.

 

I think each will have a story and each will be important. Both Han and Luke were important to the story and each other, I don't think either will be a sidekick; not even Poe.

 

I could go for that.

 

Hi all ... sorry if someone's already mentioned this, (I didn't feel like going through the whole thread with a fine-toothed comb) but it looks like Gleeson is wearing a dark colores robe of sorts. Does this support theories that he may in fact be the character at the podium in the stormtrooper assembly scene from teaser 2? This person was also in black robe-type garb.

 

This image ^^^^ really reminds of the scene in TESB, when luke is calling Leia. Is Han talking to her and she's zoned out listening to a voice perhaps?




Finn has a similar expression to Lando as well...

 

If you follow what gleeson is looking directly at it looks like a faint outline of a face. It's against the window on the left right in gleesons eye. Not the image of Finn hologram but another figure in a hologram that looks a lot like the cyborg we saw in the Vader helmet concept art. Is this snork?? I'm pretty sure there is a face on there. Look at the red light by the window

 

That storm trooper in the back is facing the camera. The crotch plating and elbow crease definitely look forward facing. So another black stortrooper or Finn. And if not Snoke in the screen, perhaps MVS character

Lol, yep it was me and it was definitely an accident. Sometimes when I give a rating on my phone, the buttons get tricky (my phone often automatically scrolls up without being prompted to). I fixed it. Sorry bro. It's kind of hilarious, because who in their right mind would knowingly dislike such a positive post? (chewie)

 

Sadly they are not going to be on equal footing. Rey will be on higher footing than both Finn and Poe. We are living in the age where women are above men.

More proof that Rey is force sensitive and feeling the force growing inside her as she finds Luke to train her to become the greatest Jedi ever.

 

lol its all good. i have the same problem sometimes. i even made a profile post about it a few weeks ago.

 

We are living in the age where women finally can be lead action heroines in movies. When you ask anyone to name iconic female action hero, they probably will came up with two or three (Sarah Connor in T2, Ellen Ripley in Alien and sequels, and maybe Vasquez).

Seriously Daisy - if she's a lead - in new trilogy is win for everybody.
