HAN SOLO - How bad could it be?!

Yeah, I think that's pretty much the case.

The prequel stuff was almost funny because people already hated the prequels, and his criticisms managed to be both somewhat accurate and cringey fanboyisms.

His current stuff is just predictable. We know he's not gonna like it because it's new Star Wars. Like, it'll never have a chance with him, because he got a positive Pavlovian response last time he whined for three hours about a film, so he's just chasing that feeling ever since. Get a new schtick, dude.

 

I was listening to a podcast recently where the director of The Prequels Strike Back reached out to RLM to ask if they'd provide some criticism in his documentary to make things less one-sided. Other critics responded and filmed their bits, but RLM in their fragility took offence at the director being pro-prequel and ignored his emails because they couldn't cope professionally liaising with someone with a different opinion to their own - not even offering a simple, professional decline.

That's one of many reasons why I say I would rather huff French horn farts from the Han Solo cast collective than watch RLM. At least I would be savouring something from people actually making great content and possibly even finding whiffs here and there of the filmmaker's imaginative genius buried in the fart cloud, so I would come away feeling richer from the experience.

 

Is that true? If so, that's just embarassing. Really makes me lose respect for them... you know, pretending I still had some in reserve for them.

And what a bigger shame is to share this on a forum and allow it to gain views only by repeating a liar title.
Correct title for the thread would be "Another speculation of RLM, based on nothing, absolutely void of any proof, that dares pretend the next Han Solo film will suck" - that is a correct title that does not lie to yus, and would avoid me to give 1 more view to what I hate the most: liars.

What do they know of the upcoming Han Solo movie to write "Han Solo movie terrible ideas" as if it was a truth? Nothing. They know nothing because nobody knows nothing abut the script. Nothing is true in their 30mn void speech.
They know nothing, they invent all, and they title this as if it was pure truth.

I wish myself to make a video titled "Why RedLettersMedia are born pigs" and I will develop MY OWN theories about their crappy pants, the ridiculous slug behind their slip, because it makes me happy to imagine it is ridiculous, so why not make a youtube video on that? And also their gasoil pickup which pollutes the air of the whole city every time they start it - that too, I don't know nothing about their vehicles, but I love to imagine them as that, so why not make a youtube video on that?

Moderators should make a clear intervention, edit the OP, and alert in red, bold Arial 28pt font, about the the trickery this video is.
I'm ashamed to have this video gained 1 view cause to me. I was deceived. I deserve a compensation and I should be able to remove my view because I stopped it after 15 seconds.

The side effect of their claim is that even if the movie is good they will make it bad because those clowns are so much proud of their negativism that they won't change their mind even if they'll like it in private.

There is a market for whining and frigid fans. They just tell people what they want to hear.

 

I think this movie is in danger of fan negativism. I really hate it when people set something up for failure, based upon their own negative assumptions.

 

I'ts hard to say at this point. I personally still have a hard time accepting a Han Solo stand alone film, I don't know why. We already know so much about this character and his story. A lot of it has of course not ben shown in the movies but presented in other ways, and I feel that is enough for me.

But I had the same thoughts of Rogue One and I ended up loving that movie, so we'll se what this ends up beeing.

 

If Ron Howard took control of the film, chances are it might be good. I hope.

 

I became way more excited after Lord and Miller were fired because Ron Howard took over. He alone has made me much more excited for the movie.

 

This movie will be destroyed by critics and fans especially.

I cant say why tbh, its just a gut feeling.

 

I have a good feeling about this movie as to me, it's the only Star Wars film ( Disney era ) that we barely have any clue of how it's going to go. I also believe it won't be affected by the division of the fanbase due to TLJ ( those who liked TLJ will come for more, and those who didn't really like TLJ will come back for more as well to see what else is offered ).

This movie will make us look at Luke giving Leia the dice from the falcon being more emotional and of course, make us love Han Solo even more.

RO turned out be great despite the re shoots late in production. So I'm confident this movie will deliver.

 

Not sure how bad it could, but I know how good it could start.
An older Lando sitting in a bar, playing cards and the topic of Han comes up.
One of the players asks, "You knew Han Solo"? An then the story begins.

At the end of film, after the story has been told, an unknown older woman walks up to the table (you don't see her face).
Lando looks up and says, "Leia, what are you doing way out here"?

 

That has to happen to connect The Last Jedi!! It has to happen!

 

I love Ron Howard, but sometimes even edits can't save a poor script or film that has already been shot (I am NOT saying that is the case here, just that editing is only a portion of the final product).

Having said that, editing can also do pure wonders, so let's hope this lands on its feet -- I would love to see a (good) Solo series, so that we can enjoy our hero and have fun filling in some gaps.

 

I have seen videos by these two guys before and all they do is hate on Star Wars.

I don't know, whenever I watch their SW videos I get the impression that what they are doing is more like friendly bantering and that they actually do like these movies. To me their criticism is much easier to swallow than the enraged "Disney killed my childhood" haters. They also have their fair share of criticism concerning the fanculture that surrounds the SW universe and how the fans religiously defend or bash the SW movies depending on which side they are on. I am also under the impression that they do know an care a great deal about film making and sometimes they come up with pretty cool ideas how the movies could have been improved. I do prefer their reviews over the bazillion Collider videos which are very uncritical of SW to a degree where they become biased. I don't know, maybe I have a weird sense of humor but I wouldn't take them too seriously.
