HAN SOLO - How bad could it be?!

It could be as bad as Guardians of the Galaxy 2. That was fairly dire.

 

I think the fans think it won't make ten dollars in profits, so it could be real bad. I'm thinking it will be a fun summer movie, but I is not smahrt wen it comes to movees.

So what do I know?

 

If fans are divided and canning it ,
the critics will give it a 98% rating saying how awesome it is

 

It's going to be the worst thing ever made.
Yeah....

 

Actually, they're long-time fans of the original trilogy.

And Star Wars is only about 2% of their channel.

 

It's ironic. When people heard about George Lucas' production problems for "A New Hope" between 1976 and 1977, they were predicting that the film was going to be terrible or that it will flop. And now . . . after hearing about the production problems for the new Han Solo, everyone is predicting doom for this film. It's amazing how after 40 years or so, people DO NOT CHANGE one bit.

Why are so many people determined that this movie is going to flop? It's like they want it to be a failure so bad that they're willing to accept every negative press about it. Why? And you know what else?

 

I will wait to see the movie to give my personal and constructive opinion.
Meanwhile, I prefer to trust in Kasdan and Howard and think how good could it be.

 

How bad can it be? Well, it could be be Han living after getting stabbed by Kylo Ren, going back in time, and creating a rift in the space time continuum that replaces Chewbacca with Jar Jar Binks as his copilot.

LOL. But, as others have said I'll give this movie the benefit of the doubt. Sure, it'll be different and take some getting used to, but I hope to really like it. If not, at least we got a dope wave of Lego sets out of it!

I actually think the movie will surprise fans, because it has more freedom then the Saga films. The great thing about the Saga films is that they have all of the classic characters that we love, but sometimes they get hamstrung by having to jive with the previous movies. Han Solo movie has alittle more freedom to tell the story it wants (obviously it has to jive with his character played by Harrison Ford). I think it can be a good/very good movie that fans enjoy for what it is, and won't look too deeply into it like they do with the Saga films. In saying that, they didn't need to make this film as I would preferred something more like Rogue One where it focused on a story from the OT/PT rather then a specific character.

Anyways, I think this movie is going to be fine.

There is reason for serious concern. I can't think of any good reasons to be shooting new footage this close to the release date. At this rate, I'll be shocked if we get a trailer before February. I'm hopeful for a good film ... but not optimistic.

I do want a trailer sometime soon though. I mean it releases in May!

 

New Mutants comes out in 12 months (newly announced) and already has a trailer but Solo comes out in less then 5 months and has no trailer....ouch

I think you have misinterpreted the shoots that have been happening. They were not any kind of surprise or problem fix. They were standard run-of-the-mill stuff, from everything I've read.
