    Oh, ok. I didn't read any of the old EU so I didn't know about that. But there lies the confusing part of all of this; we don't know if any of that actually happened anymore! None of those stories are canon. So the upcoming Han Solo movie is a wide-open book! :)

    Does this still canon? I thought Han's past as Imperial became legends... but it's something I'd like to see.

    Han Solo is called "Captain" Solo because he's captain of his ship, the Millennium Falcon. Historically this has always been how captain is used, it isn't necessarily a military rank.
