They will not find a second Solo. Doesn´t matter who they cast at the end. At least 1/2 of the fans will hate it, and I forseen it to be not a big success. I have no plans to see it in the cinema anyways.

You and me both. I think the movie is a terrible idea.

I will see it eventually, as I believe I will be drunk enough to see Hobbit-Battle of 4 armies one day.... :)

I sense a plot to destroy Han Solo. The darkside of the force surrounds Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

Anthony Ingruber. I could MAYBE see Ansel Elgort but barely. Anthony Ingruber already has a connection with Lucasfilm cause he was going to do a voice in Rebels (didn't specify but let's be honest it's Han Solo). However he said that the story changed and his character didn't show up in the first season. We still haven't seen Han in Rebels so I believe he's playing Han. They've already auditioned 2,500 people and Anthony Ingruber has not been mentioned. If they don't audition the guy who played a young Ford already, I seriously question the casting director and Lucasfilm in general. Not sure if I linked it in this thread yet but here's a short film he did that showcases his dramatic acting ability.

Anyone else agree Ansel Elgort should NOT play young Han Solo in the spin-off? He's higher on the list than most and it doesn't sit well with this Jawa. A Han comes from rough in real life too. Ford? ex-carpenter, not poster boy.. Never was as big of deal even after American Graffiti until Star Wars and he doesn't care that he is now and don't mistake his confidence for that. Ford grew up acting like Han would've had he lived on Earth aspiring as an announcer (radio) or extra in film lol. It's safe to say that Harrison was playing a version of himself. That's another reason why the character is so good. That's another reason why whoever our young Solo is needs to come from that place too. Not an interpretation or " Oh Im an actor, this is my crazy take on Han, blahdy blah faking blahdy blahh ".. If I could give the actors auditioning my advice coming from just another huge fan who radiates love for Star Wars I'd say: Be Han. Don't pretend to be Harrison, don't make yourself a Han archetype or your own twinkly version.. This isn't James Bond. Just let the Han flow through you. If your a Han in your own life let it shine in this one.. on film.

None wants just an okay Han Solo movie not even average SW movie goers will buy that unless they're 13 and listen to one direction. Noone from fans to the film creators should support anything less than their best. I truly deeply believe this film can be great but it needs to come from Dust to Glory not glitz and glam. Han, Harrison, the eminent young Han, and hell all of Star Wars never came from a fake mystique. Yea, SW is not non-fiction but hell every youngling on Earth thought it could be after watching it. Even grown ups I talk to feel as if it is almost a glance at the distant future because of how much heart go into the films. It's so believable. Everyone's neck was on the line making those films and ended up loving it only to do it time and time again. One aspect of this film regarding the lead actor is certain and certainly should be just as great. Ansel is a very good actor but.... There are many Ansel's.. Han lookers.. possible Han " mirages " but only few Hans.. Only one complete Star Wars. So for now Anthony Ingruber, you starving artist, you scruffy-looking nerf-herder, May The Force Be With You - (jawa) (that's just my opinion:rolleyes:)

There aren't a ton of details out there on this one just yet, but here's what we have so far.

Star Wars Han Solo Movie Release Date
Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo or Han Solo: A Star Wars Story (or whatever its called) will be released on May 25th, 2018. No word on how this will affect plans for Lord and Miller to write (and possibly direct) The Flash for Warner Bros. or their animated Spider-Man movie for Sony.

This is apparently no longer the Star Wars film that Josh Trank was working on, reportedly a Boba Fett story, which is now unlikely to emerge until 2020.

I suspect all we'll get in regards to this film this year will be an announcement for who is playing him. Which is all I ask for since we have Rogue One and episode VIII within five months of each other. Regardless we'll be more than occupied with Star Wars intel this year. Exciting times.

Who thinks that the SW anthology is just a waste and Disney is just trying to make money on stories not really relevant to the SW trilogies. I mean It would be better if they started the "anthology" as backstories to episode VII-IX. Wouldnt be in the best interest to see a story of SW: Knights of Ren. IDK just not that interested in Rogue One or Han Solo movie when it doesnt factor into SW.

May the force be with you always...

I think either Scott Eastwood or Blake Jenner. I still have a strong consideration for Garrett Hedlund. Just watching him in Pan made me feel like, wow thats Han Solo right there. check it out, what you think...

This so much. Compare any of them with walking charm that was young Harrison Ford and... what were they thinking?!
