While it seems like the Han Solo sequel movies are dead in the water much to our dismay, do you think this could actually open the door to a Han Solo tv series?

I personally think this is likely, with Cassian Andor getting his own and the Mandalorian series happening too, as well as the MCU's focus on minor characters getting their own streaming shows (if only for a season).

This could also turn into a better option than the movies. There's less of a chance that the series would balloon out of budget, and with tv shows becoming more and more high budget - so long as they limit the amount of CGI robot and aliens - it should look good enough for people not to care.

Lastly, a tv show allows for far more character development and stories to be show than a movie does. We can see more of Han's smuggling ways, explore who he is more, and maybe someday end the show where he walks into the Tatooine cantina.

In the end, maybe the closing of one door allows for the opening of another. So what do ya'll think? Can the Solo sequels survive as a tv series?

I hold this hope as well. Maybe they could do a few smaller budget hour-long adventures or something. It's a tragedy that it did so bad in the theaters because it really is a very good Star Wars film and it is clear that everyone who worked on it, from Lord/Miller and the Kasdans to Ron Howard loved and had great respect for what they were making.

I would love to see more of this Han and Chewie.

While I very much enjoyed Solo and his story, I would much rather see material on other characters since there are so many different people they could do TV shows on. Personally I would love for them to do a scum and villainy type of show that follows all of the bounty hunters and you get background info on characters like Bossk, Dengar, Cad Bane, Boba, Embo, etc... Could take place right during the time between Episode III and IV that way you can work characters like Solo into the mix without having the whole show revolve around him.

I said no I don't want it, but would watch anyway because I have no real confidence that they will get Han right. I didn't get the feels in the Solo movie or even in TFA. Han was always a lot more serious in the OT. At least he put on that mask.

But I would watch any quality Star Wars live action TV.

I liked Alden's Solo better than Ford's. But that is just me.....not a Ford lover.

I hope not. The Cassian and "The Mandalorian" shows are great ideas because they are featuring more unkown and even unpopular characters. I don't need a Han Solo show (I didn't even need a movie about him). He's fine as he his, don't demystify him even more.

The story of young Han and Chewie should continue in movies and a TV show.

Alden Ehrenreich & Joonas Suotamo* are great and Solo is just fantastic.

    * Yes, I did copy and paste their names.

I really hope they do this in the form of an anime series (fyi- sub is better than dub). A Star Wars version of something like Cowboy Bebop would be pretty cool.

I wouldn't go with an origins either. Instead focus on his adventures between The Return of the Jedi and the Force Awakens.
